Of those characters in the selection, Arthur and Thor became real characters from the plot in 3, there is also an extensive amount of cards in UMvsC3 showing which characters may or may not appear. These are future plans for the normal franchise, if capcom and marvel don't rule out any. If the rumors of the new MvsC4 are true these characters above may be included maybe and have from the UMvsC3 cards.

It’s so much easier to hear what some of the Capcom side of these partners are saying now, though I’m not really sure what Michelle Heart and Ton Pooh said. Kind of unfortunate that the only ones that were playable in ANY of the old VS series, and for that matter COTA and MSH were mostly from the Marvel side. Jubilee would have been the perfect counterpart to Sakura in X-Men vs Street Fighter.

Thor and Jubilee are such missed opportunities for Marvel vs Capcom 2. They had the base sprites and some animations for them, yet they decided to add Wolverine Bone Claw and War Machine/Ironman when they could've easily been just palette swaps.
