This is Age of Ultron. This showed the true horrifying scenario of Ultron. In Earth's Mightiest Heroes, there's a scene where Ultron is sitting and watching Wasp who he has trapped. She asks why. His response to this day chills me to my core: "Hank Pym wrote a program in my directive that forbids me from hurting you. I'm attempting to rectify this flaw."

@@shadowx8145 An Absolute Point is not the same as a Nexus Event, an Absolute Point in Time is a pure event that will happen in absolute in a universe, they're all about expansion of the mcu "rules" of multi-reality, but those are different things. They didn't mention a "nexus point", but they talked about "events" and "beings". A Nexus event is when branch realities are created. Nexus beings affect the future and the flow of universal time stream, and are correlated to coherence and stability of the multiverse. All very cool stuff though. I'm loving this new phase.

The reason why vision never actually did this to thanos in the actual timeline is because he was not a killer. In the main timeline he felt emotions and more over did not really want to kill people but since ultron was the one in visions his time he had not moral or sense of humanity in him so he was okay with killing thanos

I don't know, he didn't seem much shaken when he killed Corvus Glaive to save Captain America, so he might open exceptions when comes to huge situations like that. The true reason might be we simply shouldn't take What If stories too seriously, but if we want to theorize, my guess is that he was too injured and wouldn't be able to harm Thanos before he could react.

Don’t think time is linear or proportional relative to multiverse jumping. Dr strange could be 1000s of years old, so could Ultron infinity. Rest of the team would be in the 21st century. Also Ultron has the time stone so anything is possible.

Thanos is still an organic being, a strong one to be sure but his mental capacity is nowhere near as quick as a machine is... and obviously this episode and in every other movie the speed of machine processing is slowed down immensely so WE the real life humans can enjoy them better.

So basically, the number one constant in the multiverse is that Tony Stark has to get nuked down in some random way. All Doctor Strange did was use this against Thanos in order to defeat him in battle. He was 100% about sacrificing Tony's life to save the time stone. But when it boils down to it, he gives up the stone to save Tony. His plan was to delay Tony's death and funnel him toward the ultimate sacrifice. He has to die. So delaying / designing the nature of that death.... was genius. Hats of to Doctor Strange for probably not thinking of any of this crazy shit, at all.

The party Thor timeline is a bit confusing with Ultron showing up there, but it probably takes place before this episode. The Watcher notices Ultron, then goes to the universe where Ultron wins. He watches Ultron develop there, but through his narrating Ultron discovers him and attacks. Time is relative. The Watcher can probably jump to any point in time, so the past Watcher probably saw the future Ultron, and the Watcher inadvertently caused that to happen by checking the timeline Ultron came from.

It was always suppose to happen, which means the multiverse always existed. We even see this in doctor strange. The only difference now is the multiverse is broken.

That's definitely not a bad theory

I got full body chills. The build up to this moment over the series is amazing, I personally as a viewer and most people I would think am comforted when the “narrator” is talking or what not and throughout the whole series the watcher is perceived as indestructible and unreachable so having this moment right after we see ultron destroy and murder all of a universe showing how powerful he is. When I saw ultrons body language shift right when the watcher was in the middle of talking like he usually does, and then speaking directly to him. Amazing. Also “I see you” so scary it’s awesome

So, here is where I see the “Vision” and brilliance of Stark. I commented on someone else’s post but wanted to share this. As we see, Ultron as Vision was exactly what Tony dreamed of when confronted by Thanos. In my imagination, if Ultron had been loyal to Tony and the cause of being a protective net around earth, the possibilities are endless. First Ultron creates Vision with the mind stone, becoming infinitely more powerful. He has access to every weapon on earth. His intelligence has no limits, therefore 24 hours a day he’s understanding and perfecting the planet destroying power of the mind stone to create weapons and scenarios to defend the earth from any threat. He maximizes the Avengers powers so they are always prepared and in the perfect position to help defend. He works with Dr Strange to maximize the unlimited potential of the time stone. He works with Thor and Asgard to do the same with the Teserac. When Thanos decides to attack, he’ll face an near unlimited powerful AI that has the entire capability of earth at its disposal, it will be able to process information at light speed for every scenario that is happening and could possibly happen. Asgard and possibly other realms could be called down to join the fight, imagine Asgardian warriors, Ice Giants etc teleporting down across the globe to strategically join the fight. It’s pretty exciting to think about and imagine, and that was Tony’s “Vision”. I’d love to see this played out in comics.

We don’t 100% know that yet about the MCU’s take on the multiverse. They haven’t spelled out if their rules may differ from the comics. We know they don’t work in the TVA. Also, all the ones we saw in the TVA were from timelines that had ceased to exist entirely. That might be a factor as well.

Have you watched Avengers: Endgame where alternate timelines are treated as alternate universes ‘caused they based it on the actual scientific theory called “Theory on Many Verse”. They don’t follow the usual Multiverse trope, so the Infinity Stones from various universes works on another universes compared to their comic counterparts. No it’s simple, Loki and the TVA all takes place in the QUANTUM REALM, which is the reason why KANG is the leader there. The quantum realm is distinct from alternate realities/multiverse, so the infinity stones can work in any universe, but not the quantum realm, ie why the infinity stones don’t work there
