This is absolutely amazing! Marvel…being around for 85 years…wow. This is so big for me because Marvel has been a big part of my life. Whether it was when I was little watching Superhero Squad and Ultimate Spider-Man, a little older but still young watching the MCU in its peak, or now with the Comics being my main focus, Marvel has always been there for me whenever I needed it. Whether I needed a character to look up to like Spider-Man, or a world to escape to like the X-Men on Krakoa, Marvel has provided it every step of the way. If you read this Marvel, just know that I am forever in your debt for giving all of us this multiverse of stories to love, know, and escape to. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Amazing, 85 years. I grew up (I'm over 60 now) reading comics and though I liked them all, I always gravitated towards Marvel. From getting comics at the corner store comic rack to going to a comic book store (my first time I wanted to look at EVERYTHING), the early TV shows to today with the movies and streaming shows and collectibles, I've enjoyed it all. I remember as a kid when reading comics if I came across a word that I didn't understand, I would get the dictionary and look up the word. For me it was Reading Rainbow before there was Reading Rainbow 🙂. And I would read Stan Lee's soapbox, where he would always exclaim "Excelsior"🙂. Congrats on the milestone Marvel.

Marvel Comics & Stan Lee made my life possible. I began reading Marvel when I was 6. When there was a word used in dialogue that I didn’t understand, I looked it up. Comics led to a passion for reading everything. Because of my vocabulary and reading skills, I scored high enough on my College Boards to merit full financial aid and got out of my abusive childhood home forever.
