In some places it just said "surely Allah will know" instead of "so that He may know", which to me is still implying some incompleteness, bc of the future tense. But still, there is the inconsistency. Jazakallah khayr for sharing your knowledge, Dr. Hany!

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Jazakumullah Khair Dr Hany. When I was in my madrassa we were taught that Nabi is the one to whom ALLAH swt give Shari'ah a book ( a new order). Like prophet dawood was a prophet ,as he came with zaboor. Prophet esa came with Injeel so they were Nabi. And the Rasool is the one who doesn't come with any new Shari'ah or a book or law but to carry on that was sent before. But, Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Aalamiin, jazaakumullah khaeran katheera to you and your team for delivering the real methodology of these Ayahs. It's like these Ayahs are just revealed. Subhan ALLAH!!! 💚

On top of that these days it is common to say 'Rasool Allah' said unless someone says the prophet said. Surah Maryam (19) - Yahya is Nabi (prophet) and Isa is Rasool and Nabi (messenger and prophet). Sir I renew my insight, please give me guidance. In the case of prophet Muhammad PBUH, while being a Rasul, at other time ( but still within the time frame of descendence of the Qur'an )he did his duty as a Nabiy on other occasions that is not constricted to the command of the Ayat from Allah? It's rather complex in my humble opinion if we talk about prophet Muhammad. Because Allah never leave His Sight from Muhammad until the end of all revelations, and considered Muhammad circumstances as parts of context to what Ayat should be intended to Muhammad or to any objectives ( person or groups or all human beings )in that particular circumstances and that particular time frame. Allah let Muhammad did whatever he want, while not in the order from to do things that Allah wanted him to on special occasions, while Muhammad was still in the time frame of Qur'an still not being completed. These things make me concluded that Muhammad is a Rasul, and also a Nabiy that should be differentiate depends on the context of the Ayat ( in the time frame of Qur'anic Ayat first descendence till the end of all revelations ). What I'm trying to say is, Muhammad only get protected from mistake only in the momment when Muhammad was in the process of receiving the revelations from Allah, and whenever he preached about the ayat he got to the muslims or other people at that particular preaching time. And while he is not being constricted by Allah command, he did His job as a Nabi. And when he did things in the name of making ijtihad as a Nabi, Allah in some cases will remind him through His ayat regarding his ijtihad, or just let him be. So for Muhammad PBUH, it is not as easy like drawing circle and square to him, regarding the title we want to use to him, being as a Nabi, or as a Rasul.
@MarvelousQuran3 жыл бұрын
@ Skid Achilles Masha Allahh... You are analyszing this very beautifully... So as a messenger, he was protected As a Nabiy, he practiced Ijtihad, and then Allahh corrected him when needed, in the Quran..... THE QUESTION IS: WHY NOT JUST GIVE HIM THE ANSWER WITHOUT PUTTING HIM THROUGH THIS CYCLE? Answer: 1. To document (for us) the fact that he was a Nabiy, and making Ijtihad 2. To teach us how Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was using his abilities, knowledge, circumstances, etc to extract hukm from Quran This why Aya 66:1 is so harsh sounding. He is telling him AND US, that he applied his judgment and reached the wrong conclusion P.S.: The exact moment when he became Nabiy is Aya 12:3... We will discuss this very soon insha Allahh I hope this helps

28:25 I have a confusion regarding this part. If we stablish that a messenger's sole mission is to deliver verbatim, then, any referral to Rassul in Qur'an would be a referral to the Qur'an itself. The person is now disintegrated into a Rassul that delivers verbatim, and everything else. I know that my understanding has to be misled because this would give redundancy if Rassul and Qur'an are interchangeable. My second confusion is, what is the exact meaning of obey (أطيعوا) here? If it is following the guidance of God, then this means following the Guidance of Qur'an (This is the only available mean of receiving God's guidance). But again, Rassul also refers to Qur'an! In your explanation, you gave a different meaning for the second obey verb, which is delivering as if you are the Rassul. Why did you change the meaning even though it's the same verb and same context? I appreciate your explanation in advance.
@MarvelousQuran3 жыл бұрын
The rassool's only mission is to deliver. His instructions would be related to his mission. Therefore, obeying the rassool is to continue the delivery of the message A Nabiy executes based on his interpretation and based on evaluating the conditions at the time of his life. We were not commanded to obey the nabiy, because we all have the obligation to access direct guidance for interpretation, and because the message of the Quran provided guidance regarding applying Islam within collective societies

Hadith Qudsi includes a quote supposedly made by our beloved SAWS, explaining what Allahh said, NOT WHAT ALLAHH literally said. It is NOT the same as Quran. The Quran was transmitted by tens of thousands who memorized it, for generation after generation, and was written down ever since the days of our beloved SAWS. Hadith Qudsi often is reported by a handful of people and sometimes by less. Generally, such narrations are transmitted verbally for a few generations before they were written down. Our beloved SAWS never mixed the two. Our beloved SAWS never recorded the Hadith Qudsi.

Sometimes, when the presentation is focused on something else, I use the word knowledge (and don't mention evidence) to avoid distraction. 'Aalamiin I guess it has same rootwords 3elm, but why its commonly translated as " universe" and not something to with "knowledge"....now per your metodology, would it be " with vast evidence" then?

so how do you explain the ayah in surah An Najm وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ as to "whatever" he uttered is the revelations sent down to him

@ Agus Mulyo The Quran itself answered this question in Aya 45:29, which we discussed in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6CkhKGjeshnftU The book (i.e., the scripture: The Quran) is what is referred to in the Ayats that you mentioned.

Muhammad Asad's "Message of the Quran" seems a little better than others, but I highly recommend that you watch as many videos on this channel as you can because these videos give you the foundation for distinguishing which parts of the translation to trust and which ones not to. For example, stories in traditional are all to be tossed away cuz they are based exclusively almost on corrupted versions of earlier scriptures... Allahu A3lam

Dear Dr Hany, are you saying that if a hadeeth has "qaala Rasulullah ..." in its narration, we should be wary of it ? (Min 22:15 - 24:00)
@MarvelousQuran3 жыл бұрын
Yes because someone (at least one) within the chain of narration (Sanad) does not know the Quranic difference between Rassool and Nabiy

Alhamdulillah, word Rasul is not for usage address to Nabi as rasul but a word of messenger from a king or any person who are obedient to carry out the order. Which being misinterpreted to only Nabi is a Rasul. That PROOFED the syahadah of kalimah rasul which WE ALL BEING FOOLED. Well as for today and up to you people to your syahadah rasul is YOU!!! In the arabic, not stated Nabi but just only Muhammad. Muhammad is not the Nabi, but is YOU as a nafs. Proofed is in the Barnabas. Simple meaning, to carry an order as a humble servant of Allah to your everyday lifes as a TRUE MUSLIM is to be Mukmin.

This is why quran tells obey allah and his messenger not mention prophet and our shahada kalima is also la ilaha illal laha Muhammad ur rasul ullah and this why our prophet said that if there is prophet after me it will be umar ra because he got the concepts of system of living, tackle, handling the society.

Hello Dr Hany.. Thanks again for helping us know about differences between prophet and messenger. Also about Ilm. However I have certain doubts regarding Messenger Muhammad. I have observed that when Allah has spoken Muhammad in quran it is mentioned that he is Rasool. And there are other ayats saying ya nabi it seems bit confusing if it can be addressing to the same rasool or only prophet muhammad, how a same person can be messenger and nabi both. As per your findings messenger only delivers the verbatim but we know prophet Muhammad did executed the interpretation in his life. How can he go wrong when he is messenger also. My understanding is both are separate entity. When quran speaks of Muhammad it's something else he is just a rasool who is not father of anyone in mankind. It seems to me the prophet Muhammad is from mankind who was receiving message from messenger Muhammad as spoken from quran. And it seems to me Muhammad the messenger is someone who is present and will be present till qiyamah. Because in the ayat where name Muhammad is spoke is in present tense. Also in azaan we hear shahada that Muhammad is the messenger not was. Please can u put your thoughts on it. Thanks you

@ FARAZ AZAM You say: how a same person can be messenger and nabi both" and you say: "How can he go wrong when he is messenger also" We never said that he went wrong as a messenger... We all play different roles, all the time. You are a father, a son, and an employee. You are also a neighbor, a citizen, etc... You could make a mistake as an employee, or as a neighbor, but still be perfect as a husband or a father, right? To say that Muhammad (PBUH) is "present", Yes! Possibly as a model who lives on in us, his faithful followers... But going beyond the basic definitions we presented is pure conjecture even if possibly spiritual... but not necessarily based on the Quranic methodology.
