Farmers feed and take care of their livestock. Why wouldn't the Fae provide water and electricity to the townsfolk? It keeps them alive until it's time to harvest.

You've got me thinking about the final ending of the show now,; you mentioned "A dimensional loop that will not end". If that is true, the show probably won't have a happy ending, I don't think a show like this gets a happy ending! It just wouldn't fit the feel, the haunting images, the chilling and sombre sounds, the mutilation, the dance with darkness etc. I can't see a Kumbaya theme coming! Bittersweet ending? Possibly, but the sweet would undoubtedly still be sour. I've had enough of the Hero's journey optimism and I'm hoping for a shocking, evil, ancient, cataclysmic, hellraiser type ending. The never ending loop can provide me with this. Most people get munched; a few surviving heroes suffer unimaginable torture & become the new villains; the Evil dead demon tree entity gets stronger with the end of every loop; a new Sheriff comes to town; A Tesla arrives in Fromville and Que sera sera.

It's not really the Otherworld. It is an otherworld. But it's known as Faerie. Or the Sithens. Or Tír na nÓg. Basically Faerie is an English name for Tír na nÓg. And the Sithens are like the personal domes (mounds) of each group of Fae. The Seelie Court (beautiful light, summer elves), the Unseelie Court (beautiful, dark, winter elves) and the Sluagh. Fugly, Monstrous elves. They kind of equate to demons. And they are kind of an offshoot of the dark elves. They have their own home and King, so they have their own sithen, it's underground, but their business is usually conducted in the Unseelie Court. And Tir na Nog and Sithens are like living haunted houses, kind of. Or castles. And there are always temperamental trees. They aren't much different than most pantheons. Especially Norse and Greek. But there are more. In other words, if it's Faerie, then it's also ancient Greece/Mount Olympus, and Norse, and Zoroastrian, and Assyrian, Egyptian, and more. Welsh, Alban, Scottish, on and on. They aren't all malicious. The lights are probably controlled by the Djinn. Think about it. Genie in the lamps...

I'm fairly confident, but nowhere close to 100%, that that realm was made by the entity for the specific purpose and convenience of keeping its end of the contract with the villagers. It's its own dimension, then, unconnected with any other dimension. (The most notable feature of the fae dimension is the fairies; that's what the word "fae" means. There are no fairies in Township. There's no "fairyland" without fairies or the various beings associated with them.) At some point after the contract with the villagers was made, some time after the death of the unwilling parents whose daughter was among the imprisoned children, the entity must have made this new realm to look exactly like the place where the villagers lived, and he transported them all there where they became the nightmare creatures. The nightmare creatures may not know that they're not home but they're in a 700 year-old counterfeit of their village. If they recognize a Faraway Tree, like the one Miranda almost entered, then they might know that they're in a replica of their home. That place runs parallel to the main universe, so that time passes exactly the same. When Tabitha was in the main world for 5 days, 5 days had also passed in the Town. The radio noise that they heard must have been from the storm that was occurring, and from the radio itself. It should be EXPECTED that there would be a radio signal. Even the electricity would cause radio noise. Most of the noise on any other radio are from sources absent from that realm. The fallen tree is at one edge of that realm and the tower, is at the other end. But the realm has no physical location, making it physically impossible to just accidentally come there; you have to be brought there deliberately by someone with the power to do so. The 2 parents who remember the children and might know something of how to free them, appeared in the Town on the same day, which cannot possibly be a coincidence; and it happened at least 2 times. The master of that realm, the entity, tried to kill Jade and Tabitha by tricking Sara into thinking that the people in the 2 cars that would arrive later that same day (that day that it first spoke to her), would become responsible for the death of everyone in the Township, "like before." (At the time, Sara was completely unaware of the massacre that occurred some 40 years earlier, or that Victor was there. But Miranda and the children, and Christopher had absolutely nothing to do with the massacre; the entity was telling an outrageous lie.) The entity must have been hoping that Sara would assume that the "voices" speaking to her, were of those people who died and were protecting the current residents from a similar fate. The entity, therefore, has no interest in bringing to town the 2 people who could take from him his primary interest, the souls of the children sacrificed to him. The Boy in White, however, has already demonstrated that his primary interest is to save the children. He spoke directly to Christopher of trying to save the children; and according to his conversation with Victor at the tree that goal has not change, only the method of saving them, has changed. All his actions are aligned with his ultimate goal of saving the children, and he controls the faraway trees that were made by the children's hope of eventual freedom. (The Faraway trees and the Boy in White are the only features of that realm that the master of it has no control of, both connected to the hope of eventually freeing the children.) The Boy must be the one bringing the reincarnated parents into the Township; and he must have brought Boyd there. I know that the entity also brings people there. Elgin is someone that I think is there by the entity; I don't know that. But EVERYONE there was brought there by someone. It's physically impossible for someone to just accidentally drive there, or drive himself there deliberately. I also think that when the children are freed, the nightmare creatures will be considered by the entity to be in default of their contractual agreement, and not only will the nightmare creatures all die at once, but the entire realm will disappear, thrusting everyone in it back home. The nightmare creatures know very well that their continued existence depends on those children remaining imprisoned in Tower. And when Miranda came within 3 seconds of entering that tree and wrecking their flow, Smiley almost broke the sound barrier for the block and tackle of her, and his brethren found and slaughtered every single person in the Town. (Victor wasn't hiding in the Town that evening, but was away in its outskirts where the nightmare creatures would assume no sensible person who wants to stay alive would hide.) By the way, the nightmare creatures didn't know Victor was coming. In fact, they were expecting the opposite. On the night of the Colony House home invasion, Victor was directed to a Faraway tree by the Boy in White, which took him to the tunnels. The Boy in White was also there, showing Victor where to hide until Tabitha shows up so that he can save her. Victor was in the tunnels for 3 nights and 3 days undetected by the monsters until they just happened to see him walking out. If it had not been for the thing there that frightened Victor more than the monsters, Jasper, they would have never know Victor was there. Because their home was compromised, the nightmare creatures grabbed all their stuff and moved deeper into the tunnels, and they left Jasper near the entrance of tunnel to keep Victor out. We see that a few days later when Jade visited the tunnels for the first time. The first thing he saw was Jasper near the entrance. And when Jade entered the chamber where the monsters had been sleeping, they and all their stuff were gone. Then Victor came back, and Jasper wasn't at the entrance anymore. The nightmare creatures evidently thought Jade was Victor; he left very quickly, and the monsters thought that their scarecrow would no longer be needed, so that they took it. That's why Karen from upper management Creature said, "If you keep coming down here . . . " Victor had been there only once; she was mistaken in what she thought. That was Jade in the tunnels 2 or 3 days earlier. Victor came back very much unexpectedly to take the very LAST thing that they would have expected him or all people to take, considering his reaction at seeing Jasper the first time he was in the tunnels. There are several indications that "Abby" was the entity in disguise. It definitely wasn't Abby, who is always described as the exact opposite of everything observable about her conversation with Boyd that day. And the lie that it told about the people there in the Town feeding on hope was told in a very similar way to the lies that it told Sara on the day that the 2 cars entered town with Tabitha and Jade. There was no "make the big decisions," and "swing hard." That "Abby" was pushing mentality that directly counters everything you know of Abby. The entity probably disguised himself because he saw the effectiveness of the Boy in White (who is no boy in the least) disguising himself at least 2 times, bringing each time some very good counsel that prodded its hearers into keeping a course that's aligned with the eventual freedom of the children. The children in the tower were the ones living by hope; and they fed all their hopes of eventual escape from the Tower into the Faraway trees. (I don't know what the Boy in White is, but he seems strongly connected to the "hope" of the children.

Fae as in fairy? That actually makes alot of sense with the tree portals etc but the monsters don’t look like fairies? Like why do they move slow like zombies? I mean in a sense if the point is to create “hope” to result in more pain I guess they are torturing the people? Fyi I absolutely love this show lol I’m just so confused

They have condensed many mythologies together. I also see it as a bardo state of mind, a place created by karma, a personal hell created for those who committed the child sacrifice.
