Well it's cool, Tabitha and Jade can hook up and run off into the woods to save the free range creepy kids who do not need saving... I will say this......they need to step it up and not be so sloppy in this premise. They did not need to drag this out this long to go with this storyline. It didn't need to be a mystery. They could've had these people figure it out in season 1 and then figure out what to do about it or how to stop it or whatever in the rest, and given us more lore to the town, the backstory on how they ended up there. If they get their next 2 seasons, they need to make them count with a faster pace and not prolong it for the sake of prolonging it.

After Episode 9 when Miranda was killed by Smiley, a lot of people were shocked about Smiley running. That led me to think that the Talismans actually don't do anything and were probably planted by the entities for Boyd to find. It's not that the monsters can't run but they just never had to. Because what if Smiley ran at Miranda because of sense of urgency. Miranda almost made it into the tree and maybe you HAVE to enter the tree after dark in order to get closer to finishing "the quest". Now that the season is over it seems that this iteration of the townspeople may have come the closest to completing "the quest" so the entities/Man in Yellow are all on the defensive. So it was always crucial that the entities/monsters/Fromville keep the townspeople scared to come out after dark in case they get closer to completing "the quest". If they complete the quest, Fromville and all the entities, monsters and their immortality are all done for. So this is why I think the Talismans might not actually do anything. If that's true, why didn't the monsters just go into the homes and kill everyone at night? Maybe because the main entity or the town itself needs people or souls in the town to feed on and continue to exist. Like how Jade was saying that energy never really goes away.

Boyd is why the talismans work. It's his will to protect the people, and why monsters want to break his will, not kill him. He conjured them up just as the electric, animals and vedge gets conjured up. If he went full psycho on Elgin, the talisman would be just stones, like a crucifix in the hands of a nonbeliever againsts a vampire. I bet Boyd was the pastor of the town in the beginning and we get his story in S4.

The Monsters have always been able to touch the Talismans. What they aren't able to do is enter an enclosed space that has been secured with a Talisman inside. If the enclosure is opened they can enter and touch the Talisman all they want. They usually toss the Talisman to the ground if this does happen, which we have seen a few times.

Meaning if they manage to get inside, the rooms inside the house arent protected and cant be. Its like a safety bubble around the House and not for each individual room. You have to think as it is a cage that protects you. Once the things are let in that cage (the house) you cant do anything about it

Fromville seem to work very much as a game with set rules. Knowledge seem to be the most expensive currency. The more secrets the people try to uncover, the more the town push back. Even if the monsters doesn't seem to be able to read minds, something else can. Something is obviously observing them too, how could the man in yellow know they were digging a hole inside a house? "The entity" obviously have a great deal of power, it can control the seasons and the weather. It's suggested that the actual layout of the place change as the "trees move around". It does feel like LOST in a way. Except in LOST the island is a source of light, here it acts like an island (it has a lighthouse and you can't leave) and it might be a source of darkness instead. In LOST only the chosen could see the light, here it might be similar...

The town sees and hears everything in the town and d the woods, but it can not see things that can not be seen from the outside. The town knew what Tabitha was doing inside the basement because they were taking the dirt outside, they had to go outside to get the tools and were talking about it outside, the town couldn't see where Jim was under the rubble so it couldn't get to him as he stayed quiet, if everyone does their plans via notes inside homes at night when they have the blinds drawn and everything

Julie is the one who called Tabitha and Jim when Thomas fell and died. She tried to call to save him but ultimately is the reason they got distracted and he fell. I think she created the talismans or at least is the one who hid them. I think she’s the one who’s been going around the cabins at night. I think she’s the one who has helped Boyd finding them and the goats etc. The fact this version of Julie is the one causing these things it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility that she caused the entire creation of the town to begin with. I think the boy monster who asked her if she recognized him actually did know her before he came a monster and might have actually became on because of her. I do think she will save him but I think he will be stuck outside of time or possibly even the past. I can’t accept Jim is dead while he was annoying he was my actual favorite character next to Boyd. I hope she saves him.

The series has a big problem: we don't know the rules of the game everything seems arbitrary. The surprise effect is less since we have no clear framework, everything or anything can happen. Everything seems already planned in advance by the big villain leaving no room for maneuver to the protagonists. A man in yellow, a woman in a kimono, a star dancer, an old man imprisoned in a dungeon... In season 4 a pink elephant can land it would not shock anyone. To better appreciate a game, you must know the rules in order to establish strategies and have fun with the codes. In From everything is ambiguous, each rule does not respond to any logic and the enemy seems to hold all the cards in hand anticipating all the movements of our heroes. Everything is too on track. It is necessary that the characters take the ascendancy, it takes real upheavals where the enemy finds himself confused, a thrilling chess game where every movement is unpredictable. For now, the citizens of From look more like headless chickens locked in a cage under the amused gaze of a Farmer. We feel like we're watching the LooneyToons Bip Bip and the Coyote. For season 4. We need more light on the FROM universe. Real Flashbacks on key elements. I don't want to see Fatima or Tabitha tell us the story, I want to live it through characters, 🎬🎬. Our heroes must be more proactive and not passive, they only suffer or obey a ghost / camera / the boy in white etc. An example in season 3 the moment when Victor wants cut the tree, the boy in white tries to prevent him Victor should not have listened to him: Shock! Unforeseen elements happen everything changes even the boy in white is lost "No! Now everything will change..." suspense. In short, the series must come out of its autopilot mode / everything is already planned by the BIG Mastermind. It's getting boring.

@@DoflaminGood The creatures used the same tactic of pretending to be unconscious in the road and lure them out of the vehicle, obviously the creatures would’ve noticed an ambulance or any vehicle for that matter driving at night seeing that the towns people are aware to stay inside those times. The only entity confirmed that knew Tabitha was arriving would’ve been the entity that spoke to Ethan on the phone which I suspect would be the man in yellow based on the statement he said before killing Jim “Your wife shouldn’t have dug that hole Jim”, this means there is a high probability that the man in yellow is responsible for electricity, provocative music playing in the diner, anyone speaking on the phone, the storm, the house sinking, the tree in the road etc and this all ties back to Tabitha wanting to know where the source of electricity came from.

I don’t think the Cicadas are supposed to be a punishment. I think Cicadas are a gift, they show up before something bad happens in the town, they are a form of forewarning. At first, I thought they were protective because the monsters never kill Randal when the Cicadas are swarming him. That being said, something did cut his face one time. As for Marielle, I think she walked away with a gift where it either gives her strength or protects her mind from the town, because although she said she was having a hard time to Kristi, she does seem pretty unbothered by most things.

I definitely think Jim will be saved eventually but Julie. I think, maybe not in season 4, but she will definitely learn to StoryWalk better and better and eventually learn to CHANGE the Stories instead of just being able to view the Stories. I also believe that Victor's little Sister is still alive and hiding somewhere in the woods. I think she found the Talismans and put them in the Cave to be found by the towns people. I have said since the beginning, I didn’t believe the talismans had any power. I believed the entity was allowing the towns people to believe they did, to make it easier when the massacres happen. The faith in the talismans would bring people together in groups, and they would be much easier to pick off. I believe Victor collected the talismans after the last massacre and hid them in that cave because he realized they were useless. The reason why when Boyd brought them back into the town, Victor didn’t say anything, is because Victor never drew a picture of himself collecting the talismans and hiding them. If Victor doesn’t draw picture, he doesn’t remember. It all makes sense because Victor is a collector. He collects the bodies after the massacre to bury, he collects the cars and puts them all together in the forest so he doesn’t have to look at them, and he collects drawings of the things he WANTS to remember. It makes sense to me that after the massacre, Victor collected the talismans and put them all in that cave to hide them away since they were useless. Unfortunately, because the uselessness of them was so painful for him to bare, Victor decided not to draw a picture of them, in an effort to forget the trauma of the tragedy. Victor would have no clue with special needs at 10 years old that more people would come into the town and it would be important for them to know that the talisman’s were useless.

I think Marielle will prove to be a negative force whereas Julie is positive. Marielle is jealous and has a dark side we haven't seen yet. Randall can go either way. He was impulsive and seemed able to do anything to anyone just to find out what's going on. I see the three like the Monkees, hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. They also are of a japanese type philosophy (like ubume, kimono lady). I think they need to work together to see what's going on.

God I hate Jim, you see your daughter coming to you, telling you to run ASAP, you see something is off, and you continue to stand in place. When man in yellow comes, Julie freaks out even more, telling him he should've stopped mom, but still he stands, choosing to fight weird mad weirdly dressed thats clearly not human. I hate how they made characters question everything and wondering what others will think in a place that clearly defies all logic and reason. But for some reason, they don't talk to one another, because they worry other person might think they are weird.

For Ethan. Who showed his resistance to Thomas on the radio. Hearing, or seeing Jim next season would reach Ethan moreso then his dead baby bro. Maybe it takes ghost dad to get the boy in white talking. Dad had to go, as he is, Tabitha's husband, because no one wants half of next season, after a two year wait, spent dealing with that triangle. It's not important to the main plot and would kill interest. Bring him back as a dark passenger, to Ethan. Or in a manner similar to Boyd's wife's occurrence after her death. To impede Tabitha from saving the children. There's also a chance Jim gets the royal treatment of "immortality" as the cost for knowledge. The Man in Yellow must be Randall. In the Cave drawing, he has the scar and the big ears like Randall. The cicadas that attacked him must have something to do with the children and their connection to the roots of the Tree. Different species of Cicadas live for either 13, 17 or 19 years (all prime numbers) in the root system of trees, and then they come out all together to reproduce. Also We have to check out the differences between the years written on the walls in the lighthouse, in case they are multiples of 13, 17 or 19. (I'm not sure about 19 though.)

The cicadas came from inside SMILEY after getting the worms. Kenny was "touched" by a cicada in his dream and he had a burn. Sara told Boyd "they" were laughing at him for bringing them back to town. Im curious how the relationship functions with ankooey children and immortal monsters. Seems like an ongoing curse that fuels their immortality as long as the children have hope while being used. They gain hope as people and (Tabitha and Jade soul reincarnations) enter town. Boy in white and children give clues and people learn more about saving children. This gives the ankooey kids hope and feeds the immortality of the monsters. Evil entity gives people clues and "help" to give children hope and then maybe man in yellow resets cycle when people get to close thus allowing cycle to keep feeding all of their immortality. Otherwise, why would town need to keep bringing in people. It adds risk to their plans. Perhaps Jade and Tabithas souls are tied to the curse as well and this is the good vs evil battle throughout the cycles as they keep fighting to end the cycle. Maybe the kids hope feeds Tabitha and Jades souls in a different form of immortality. Like they were somehow part of the immortality curse unwillingly but it empowered them to keep fighting and maybe leaving clues for future ⁷.

The man in yellow is probably a reference to the “The King in Yellow”. The story is a spinoff from Lovecraft’s stories and the yellow king was a reference from True Detective. The Yellow King is Kathulu’s right hand man and carries out Kathulu’s commands. This suggests the man in yellow did not create Fromvill but a much stronger entity capable of mind control a time travel was the creator.

My view on characters has changed throughout the 3 seasons. I wasn't a fan of Jim until the last few episodes. I hope there is a way they bring him back. He has proved to be strong and a vital member to the town and a strength for his children. Randall I didn't like at all, but I would love it if he turns himself around somehow and becomes calmer and one of the leaders of the group. I also feel like there is a stronger connection between Kristy and Kenny rather than Kristy and her girlfriend. I guess we'll see.

Jim was never a good character when he arrived with the family. In each episode his insecurities always showed and never was there emotionally for them. Jim never listened to NOBODY, he had his chance with the tower but Mr. I build roller coasters was too square thinking. I love how Henry told Jim to STFU in the bar😂😂 but the ending was satisfying, Jim with a toothpick fighting against an 9 ft tall baddie 😂😂 *cackling* I do predict Jim coming back as a smart ghost or a in Julie's Quantum Leap Froggin to change the story. Personally, I think the MIY is a carnival barker - I think he was the one who acted as a conduit between the head evil entity & the townspeople. Somehow the music resurrected him. It’s clear that the evil entity doesn’t want the current townspeople to know anything.

The towns people had to have made the deal with the entity in the 1950’s cause that’s the time period they are dressed from. So my guess is that it has only gone through 2 maybe 3 cycles since it was created.

Maybe some of the creatures are upset because they wanted eternal life but not to be monsters forever. Maybe one of them will become good or help the towns folk.

You know unlike what ppl think, i actually font beleive miranda or rabitha were chosen to go through the tree to save the kids that were found in that cave. As far as my memory serves, victor informed miranda that the kids needed to be saved, but it was actually the BIW who asked christopher to do it...miranda might hv assumed that she was supoosed to do it...but she clearly wasnt....same for tabitha, i think tabitha's was first guided by the BIW to the lighthouse inirder to bring henry into the mix not by the purpos3 of saving the children, if that was the case fromville who clearly didnt want henry wouldnt have wanted tabitha back either....it was the BIW who needed tabitha to bring henry into the picture. Eventually i think jade will have to go through the tree...but what i font understand is wut foes the light house hv to do with this when the kids and their bodies were seen inside the caves and in the forest and not in the lighthouse...

If the children were sacrificed (as confirmed in the finale) the only way to "save" them would be to go back in time. Therefore Julie will be the one to save the children... eventually.

I think Marie, Julie and Randall are like the statues of hear no evil speak no evil and see no evil but in their case they see hear and speak evil which terrorizes them. Just my thoughts what do you think.
