I think the MCU should focus on all X-men characters and build their own version of the X-men universe. They should also put the focus on other popular X-men characters and not just Wolverine. They also should get Magneto involved in this new version of the X-men in the MCU. I think they should do origin solo movies for some of the X-men characters before introducing the entire X-men group. I’m just hoping the MCU doesn’t ruin this.

Right, they don't want to rely on the old X-Men, but they bring cameos of Quicksilver, Professor X, and Beast to tease us OG X-Men movie fans. Also, Cyclops got more development as his younger self. Bobby developed in X2 with an insight into his family and in X3 with him stepping up to fight and not being a kid anymore. Sorry, but I'm a huge FOX X-Mem fan and defender, and I will die as one. It's my opinion, and anyone can disagree. I'm cautious with Disney simply because they're Disney.

I’m pretty sure they just meant the female X-Men characters would be more prevalent, not that characters like Cyclops and Iceman would get the shaft. Which would mean proper representation and characterization of mains like Jean and Rogue. However, we need to accept that for the Phoenix Saga to work, Jean needs to be front and center for at least three or four movies, or history will repeat itself and we’ll just have another disappointing, loose, and out of nowhere adaptation. At first I was against that, but, I realized that that would have done a lot of leg work for us. Mystique then is defeated and runs off to live a quiet life where she meets Destiny and has Nightcrawler, Rogue could have siphoned off Carol's power to save her from exploding, that gives Carol some time to recover and let the Xmen take over for a bit. Then, Civil War 2 when Mystique comes out of hiding with her prophetic wife who Carol wants dead. Inferno films. it's all right there... just out of our reach.. 😭🤡

Is anyone really going to be shocked when we get X23 as the new Wolverine? Daken isn't nearly as popular. They then find a new Logan to act as the daddy but not too soon. After the new lore, all new all different characters are established. We pivot into Jean Grey remembering she's Marvel Girl, Storm as the ruler of Arakko, Kitty and the pirates, I don't think it's necessarily a bad take at all to let women lead us into the next era. Marvel is getting extremely female heavy… no balance. Look at Young Avengers so far, Kate, Kamala, crappy Cassie. I think Jubilee should be the main character of the first X-Men film, akin to how the ‘97 animated show did it. But from there, we really need a classic team and balanced with Cyclops/Scott being the leader. And we 100% need Magneto. They are really going to fuck this up aren’t they??? Every iteration of X-men in the comics deals with Charles, Logan, and Erik. They need to be important supporting characters if they are not leads. I'd love to see the MCU take inspiration from X-Men: Evolution when it comes to Scott, Jean & Logan tbh, i.e.: *SCOTT SUMMERS* - a confident leader who exudes natural authority - handsome, good-natured & charismatic - has an open sense of humour & can be light-hearted on occasion, usually with Jean - somewhat standoffish w/ a competitive nature & closely held temper - the most militant & disciplined X-Men - gets along well w/ Wolverine despite butting heads occasionally ( *no rivalry over Jean* ) - a skilled fighter & tactician with amazing spatial awareness - has precise control over his optic blasts (preferably able to switch between concussive & heat at will) *JEAN GREY* - intelligent, strong-willed, pretty, confident, well-liked, & compassionate - feisty & stubborn, able to stand up for herself & others - acts as a peace-maker for the team (like Sue Storm in Fantastic Four 2005) - has good control over her powers (e.g. can also fly & create force fields) - *don't bother w/ Dark Phoenix or love triangle* *WOLVERINE* - a close ally of the X-Men but independent (not team leader, has his own solo adventures) - more of a secondary character on the team w/ a memorable presence but not the sole lead - headstrong, strong-willed, sarcastic & blunt - can be insensitive, but is actually a very caring, loyal & self-sacrificing person - more animalistic fighting style, etc.

In the main universe comics, Sinister was not a horseman but an underling of Apocalypse who didn't like being one of his underlings and planned to take him out. He had his own team, the Marauders. He planned Cable's birth, believing the combination of the Summers and Grey genetics would produce the perfect mutant for taking down Apocalypse. That's why Apocalypse infected baby Cable with the techno-organic virus, to prevent him from achieving his full potential and becoming a threat. It's looking like this storyline will be part of the upcoming X-Men '97 show. Also, his main weakness is the energy emitted by the Summers' brothers. The X-Men have always promoted diversity and inclusion. I believe more women have led X teams than men. They don't even need to make the X-Men more female-centric if they follow the comics. They're already some of the most important characters and drive a lot of the storylines.

I think the big three X-Men for this franchise should be Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm. In the same vein as Iron Man Captain America and Thor were for the Avengers. Then when something like this comes up, you say stuff like that which hardly reflects anything that's actually happening. I'm sure there are the Andrew Tates out there who act that way but that's a vocal minority. Even amongst say conservatives, the "red pill" people are kinda infamous for their stupid contradicting logic. But when you hear "We are specifically planning to focus more on female characters going forward", that's literally admission of an agenda. That means that when we start to notice the shift, it was on purpose. When the women get the spotlight, it was deliberate. When the men make dumb decisions or get nerfed, it was intentional. It means that the female characters, or all the characters really, aren't organic. Them being in the spotlight and being powerful is orchestrated purposely based on them being female. And then you're also going to cause a stir in the community arguing over what constitutes being a female. Female is sex, not gender. But they likely mean both. We don't have trans characters in the movies (yet), but it's going to start getting confusing as to who exactly gets put in the spotlight. It will most likely be biological females and no one is going to notice that as being trans-exclusive. Any of the male characters could be closeted trans. If that sounds like I was spiraling into a ridiculous case, that's because it is. It's a whole can of worms when you PLAN TO FOCUS on just men or women or a certain race, etc. Tell me why they can't just wrote a female character well or make her powerful the same way they do with guys without having to force themselves to focus on it as a rule, without having to orchestrate the scenarios in favor of it? If you don't focus on it, you should still have good female characters and powerful female characters. (Good and powerful being separate. Good characters don't have to be powerful. Powerful characters aren't always good. They can also be neither or be both.) It's worse when people have legitimate thought processes about this stuff and it gets dismissed, ridiculed and brushed off as "How dare they say women are powerful!"

It’s not that we don’t believe that women can’t be strong and powerful, the problem is that the X-Men women are ALREADY STRONG AND POWERFUL!!!! You don’t need to “focus on them”, “give them the spotlight”, or “have them take the lead”. Just like how we don’t need Sue Storm to be the leader of the Fantastic Four when she already works well as the heart of the team and the person who anchors all the other characters!!!! Laugh at us all you want but THIS IS A PROBLEM, current Marvel writers cannot write good strong female characters because they’re too busy on making them strong! They don’t have anything else going for them! Black Widow starting out was portrayed as a fem fatale who was slowly revealed to be the most dangerous covert spy on the planet with a pretty heart breaking backstory, Scarlett Witch was a girl who was constantly manipulated, turned into a weapon against her will, and later lost everything, Gamora was a Bounty Hunter groomed by the man who enacted genocide onto her entire race, Jessica Jones is a victim of r-pe which gives her the motivation to help others and bring the man that did those things to her to Justice. This is how you write interesting yet incredible strong female characters. Give them personalities beyond just being stoic and have them be completely vulnerable. This is something that the current MCU writers need to focus on rather than the current “strong female women” stereotype

I would prefer them to go the route of combinig the ultimate xmen second genesis with the first class stories and roaster like having scott ororo logan peter jean hank warren bobby forge as the tech guy ( cause i like to see the ororo forge romance from the comics ) thunderbird sun fire to get that commentary of being the token xmen of color and not being team players and one of them dies from consequences
