Right from the start his home life was crazy - past dysfunctional, now some could have made it through without becoming psychotic though he made choices that pushed him over the edge - so with all his talent and caring about this world, he couldn't help himself. Yet his music, especially the social ones are still relevant today, so in a way we could say his observation of humanity, the hypocritical ways we can be, (take his dad for instance) he gave to this world some serious food for thought and we're still asking, "what's going on"..
