Al Bernstein said Hagler redeemed himself from the loss to Duran. Hagler never lost to Duran.
@stephenzanichkowsky44342 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that...
@johnosullivan64392 жыл бұрын
Yep it sounds like amidst all the excitement Mr. Bernstein got confused and mixed up his middleweights. It was Sugar Ray Leonard who lost to Duran, Marvelous Marvin Hagler beat Duran on points.

To me this was the greatest fight I'd ever seen regardless of length or weight class. I was too young to see Ali at his peak, but the ferocity, workrate, and technique in this fight is just cinematic. Kudos, also, to Al Michaels on his call. So much action and he stayed right in the moment.

I recently found my way back to a childhood passion, boxing. And to see this fight for the first time where I'm at in life is life changing. What two legendary warriors , absolute grit and tenacity by both Men. An absolute battle for the ages, they left it all in that ring . A truly incredible fight, just moved by the mentality of both fighters , killer instinct. God bless , wow

@bringinfunny19 ай бұрын
There's just no way humanly possible that you can sustain that type of pace for a long period of time. The fact they did it for more than two rounds is astounding to me. It's as if they had a warriors agreement that they would fight to the last breath. Two of the best!!!! Hard to deny that.

Definitely. As exciting as the Tyson fights were, they were all pretty "one way" traffic. There wasn't much coming back from his opponents. With Hagler, Hearns, Ray Leonard, and Duran, a lot of the time you just never knew who was going to win. Like Superman v The Incredible Hulk. For me these were far better fights than the Tyson fights. Just saying like.
