Marvin MInarich and his crew completed a concours gold quality frame off restoration on this stunning 1972 Pontiac GTO.
Marvin Minarich was born in Joliet, IL. and grew up around Pontiacs thanks to his father. Marvin would go with his dad to swap meets looking for Pontiac parts, visiting the local Pontiac dealership, and even going to the drag strip. Marvin then began restoring cars at a young age and restored his first GTO at the age of 16 in his parents garage. Marvin went on to open his own restoration shop in Morris IL. where he completes gold concourse winning restorations. His customer base are car enthusiasts from all over the country that trust him and his team to complete the highest level restorations. Marvin is very well known and respected in the Pontiac world and has served as a judge and guest speaker at Pontiac shows.

I bought a 1970 GTO off the original owner in 1981 it also had the Trans Am steering wheel a friend of mine still owns the car today. That is a Beautiful 72 GTO

I saw this car at MCACN and spoke with the owner. It is beautiful! There was also a survivor 72 WW5 car there as well in Revere Silver.

It is nice to see a '72 correctly and fully restored. A WW5 optioned car is definitely a top level GTO. I saw power steering on the car, but no mention of it on the window sticker...

Good catch, we looked up the original build sheet and the car did have power steering from the factory. However, when we had the window sticker made it must have been overlooked. We will have it corrected. Thank you for the nice comment.

So we did some research and power steering was included in the WW5 option, but Pontiac did not always list it in the breakout of the WW5 option. So through our research we also discovered there are 6 different ways (maybe more) Pontiac broke out the WW5 option in 1972, it was a very weird year for their window stickers.

Thank you for the reply. Great to know about the variations in the package. It must have driven the dealer salespeople crazy. @@marvinsmotorcitygargage

I'll take a 67 360 HP RA 400 , with a Muncie, and a 3.90 gear, thank you very much. Drove this 72 from late 80s to late 90s as a DD, every day, 'Cept it wasn't this nice. And wasn't a 455 HO.

Great care for details but I don’t get why you overspray the door strikes and door locks? So much details and then you paint something that could be covered or removed in minutes, a shame!
