It really wasn't a kinder society, but it cool that you think so. You forget, the Vietnam War, regular rioting, Gay rights marches, Bussing, the increase and rise of the American serial killer, Nixon, the beginning of the war on drugs, rampant and totally accepted racism, the list goes on. Truth is, most things are the same as they always were, we just find out about, and, see it faster.
