The war was between other Arab nations and US/UK backed Israel . Nakba was part of the reason why other Arab involved. But most of the Palestinians were not armed or militarized. So when these Arab nations decided to leave. They left these unarmed civilians basically at the mercy of Israel. The German should let the Jews take over Germany if they are so upset since it was them that caused the Holocaust. And US and UK cared so much they should give them a state to these Jews instead of giving a land Arabs lived on for thousand of years. Most of the modern day conflicts are result of seeds of division planted by the British Empire that became unavoidable outbreak of violent human nature under a diabolical situation. It was the same situation for partition of India. USA just inherited British ways to continue these efforts.

I've never met a single palestani person, but I know the pain, and what people needs to understand is that there's a difference even with the outcome of violence in terms of anger, fear, feelings, etc.. I lost my son and my kids mom to a bullet. My son was 17 and my kids mom was 31. In the united states. I dont know how to share alikes with people of palestine but I know 1 thing for 100% certain. We understand the will it comes with being a victim to the lowest of humanity and thats death. We speak same language with childrens who are too young to speak but express fear and wanting comfort. The cries of the pain knowing your son, daughter, husband, wife, etc..is a blessing but at the same time a commitment. I get it. I understand how depressing it must be forisrael to get support but arab neighbors only talk a good game. As I always have said, if justice doesnt come soon the history will takeover and it will seek justice. History dont care about money or color, it just gives you what you have done. Of course the Palestinians have lost. The Nakba, the catastrophe, is that the arabs LOST by majority vote in the UN, (every arab state voting against the state of Israel,) and the arabs refused to accept the decision of the majority vote. Is that democracy? That you get to start a war if you lose in the vote? The Nakba is that a group of human beings (giving them the benefit here,) has refused to accept reality. As a group, the Palestinians have lived as refugees rather than moving on and creating new lives. Of course, some arabs HAVE moved on. Some palestinians are living in Dearborn. Some are doctors in the USA. The grandmother of Mossab Yousef moved to a city near Ramallah and made a successful life for herself. Try making a contribution to the civilized world. Plenty of other displaced persons have moved on, including the Jews.

So who decided that there was to be a vote? Who decided to give British control of the region? So you say democracy? By who? You don't think middle eastern peoples vote should weigh more than anyone else local people should just give up and pack up and leave where they have lived for 500+ years so European jewish people who changed their names to Hebrew names can claim a homeland statehood that their ancestors never came from Palestine. Just because you call yourself jewish doesn't give you any special rights to anything.

Also so it's a democracy because a religious group of people who's life is screwed up because of other countries screwed them over so thees countries decided to dump this religious group of people into a area that was given control of by these same groups of countries and this religious group is given the go ahead to screw over the people who have lived in the given land from the beginning of time. @@joeearley3351 I guess it comes down to the rule of force. Except when the arabs are losing. Then they want "humanitarian aid"? I'd say that's a bad joke. One side gets to use the rule of force since you don't respect "majority rules" (and maybe you have good reason not to?) But then you don't get to CLAIM majority rules when you are IN the majority. @@joeearley3351 I think your point is valid, as far as it goes. It was terribly unfair for the arabs living in what is now Israel to be asked to do, rather "forced to do", what no other country was willing to do after The Holocaust". On the other hand, there were over a million "displaced persons" in 1945 who had lived for hundreds of years in towns and villages all over Europe who couldn't go back to their legitimate homes. (Some did and were killed by the people now living in those homes. For those people it was accept "the homeland" you were offered or die. Who is going to choose "die"? Of course you are aware that Jews also lived in Israel before The Holocaust and those Jews had as legitimate a right to be there as any people living anywhere on Earth while the arabs living there also exercised "ethnic cleansing of Jews" to the extent they could, even before The Holocaust. Both sides have a legitimate claim to the land. Enter the rule of force (that always prevails. Remember what Stalin said? How many divisions does the Pope have?")
