Just so you know, the Fort Apache "long coat" cavalry guys had a total of 5 poses. They never came with the Civil War sets, only the Fort Apache sets. For some reason, only 3 of the 5 poses were later reissued. No one knows why, perhaps the mold was damaged. The other 2 poses were a bugler and a trooper with arms at his sides.

I remember buying a bag of long coat cavalry (about 50 figures) from a company in Kentucky called Stone Castle Imports in 1988. I have since lost them (stolen maybe?) I wish I could tell you if they included all the poses, but I don't remember. I'm missing a great many figures. I was a victim of a robbery back in 2004 and I think that's when I lost them. The creep who took my things was the son of the lady who managed the storage site. The police said I had no proof so he got away with it. He also took Joe's and Dragon Germans.

That original Marx guy who's aim, was corrected, reminds me of Jed Clampet!, Shooting for some food, and up from the ground came a bubbling cruewd! Black gold, Texas tea, oil that is! I never had too many marx figures at 1/32 scale, but some how I had a lot of the 1/12 scale, that had the hand grenades, rifles machine guns, and helmets separate.I also had vikings, and cave men,and cowboys and Indians.

just watched the first minute or so where you asked which figures were the originals. Maybe you answer it yourself later in the video but I haven't got that far yet as I make this comment. The originals were the 10 figures that were a slightly larger scale. The smaller scale figures were part of the 'Centennial' figures that came out during the Civil War Centennial and those came in BOTH Confederate and Union. My favorite was the officer who is running with a sword raised upright in his right hand and a pistol in his left. Also loved the cavalry trooper who's horse was being shot from under him as he fell forward.

In your shot with the 3 tiers, the centenial figures are all on the upper tier to the left of center. Everybody else is original figures.
@iggystoyparadesoldierrevie10923 ай бұрын
@@chiefwiggum5405 I'm afraid my question was misleading. what I meant is that all the figures were modern recast except for a handful that were original to my Centenial playset that my brother and I got for Christmas inv1961. The few originals I have left were located on the first tier to the right.

@@iggystoyparadesoldierrevie1092 Gotcha! I got all those Marx playsets back then to. Turned me into a civil war buff. Did you have the big brick mansion? And, like me, did you wonder why it was too small a scale for the civil war soldiers? LOL.

Back in around 1975 for what was then would have been my eleventh birthday,I got from my mother a set of union troops,all wearing kepi's,very much the in the same style as Swoppets soldiers?,same scale pretty much?,,except bothe arms could be removed & reattached with plugs much like the Britains deetail figures,except both arms,weapons could be removed seperate like the swoppets & Timpo's,also the soldiers braces or suspenders could also be removed too,that solid,sky or baby blue coloured legs,or trousers & boots,the heads came off like the swoppets & Timpo's,with seperate scarves & kepi'sit came in a set with a chuck wagon that was uncovered,but had 3 yellow ribs & yellow wheels?,at the back of the wagon was a opening cupboard that folded down into like a table with a leg that was red,inside the cupboard were red or blue pots with seperate handles,much like old teapots have?,frypans,a crate of small beer like bottles(what we call stubbies here in australia) & larger stew type pots with seperate lids,we call them dutch ovens,or dampers here,the wagon came with a seated driver with a whip,I 2 either grey or black horses with moulded on harness,the soldiers had green,rectangle/oblong shaped stands or bases,the kid who nlived over the back fence from me had the same wagon set but his soldiers were confederates,another kid who lived in the same street had a set in the same brand that had a cannon & possibly a mounted officer too,that had a pistol or sword,or both?,think their set was union though?,but they never played with their set much though?,I remember them having a couple of wooden wild west buildings too,a bank & a saloon,but were of a slightly different scale to the Timpo's,Swoppets,Britains Deetails,they were of a very good quality toy manufactuer,twith really great hand,facial & uniform detail,the wagons & cannon,great wood grain too I remember,possibly,a swedish,or even swiss toy company,just can't quite remember?

@ericstewart9499 Those were happy days, I hope? I had some neighbors who were brothers, and they fought over their Marx playsets all the time. What I like about them now is I don't have to deal with neighborhood drama anymore!
