"What can be, unburdened by what has been..." Strikes me as something no leader of the executive branch of the U.S. Government can say without proving that they fundamentally misunderstand the role of their office. It is the role of the Legislature to place the burden of what has been written into the law on the Executive who is to carry that burden so that the people can live what can be in a nation governed by law. That is to say: bad thing happens. The bad creates a burden on society. The Legislative passes law protecting from and prohibiting the bad thing. The executive branch assumes the burden so society can move forward. The Executive branch of the U.S. Government EXISTS to be burdened by what has been.

Early in his career, Abraham Lincoln gave a prescient speech in which he spoke of the duty of the Federal government to transmit the ideals set forth in our founding documents to future generations. He warned of danger coming to our liberties at the hands of those who "thirst and burn for distinction," narcissists and demagogues who seek to dismantle our founding principles simply because they didn't think of them themselves. "Unburdened by what has been" expresses that ethos perfectly.

If it had anything to do with Marx someone would have mentioned that connection way before she become the nominee. The quote she says is "unburdened by what has been." The simplest and most obvious interpretation of that quote is that she's saying don't let the mistakes of the past hold you back from achieving success. She's a centrist politician. She has zero connection with Marxism. For Jordan Peterson to suggest that just proves that he's a fraud.

Karl Marx was shortsighted in expecting the oppressed to make the “positive” change as a correcting force. Society will always inevitably be turned over again and again and halt true progress
It takes a mental featherweight to say that the past doesn't have to matter. _Doesn't_ matter, doesn't exist, can be cast off as a burdensome irrelevancy. It's like something out of a quack self-help book, but even less realistic, far sillier and far more dangerous. Allegorically I envision Harris' loose attachment to reality as her at an upper-story window: "Away with the lower floors! We don't need them up here." It's that loose.

I'm a young American man about to come home from being abroad for a while, and I am finding myself feeling unprepared. My desire pertains to the quest for knowledge and understanding, but I don't know where to start. I'm not sure I could exactly state what the foundations for each side are, who the leading proponents/authors were, what the history for the last 100+ years says, or what the sort of authoritative texts are for each side. I love America, I want it to prosper, God willing. I realize now actually that I could just ask some A.I. to help point me in the right direction, but where's the humanity, let alone fun in that. If I went to University at 18 like everyone was doing instead of working with YWAM these last five years, perhaps I would know, but then I wouldn't be writing here would I. The "international proletariat" is a myth concept of Marxism, a non-existent political identifier for the various categories of dispossessed people from around the world (immigrants, refugees). According to the Maoist Marxism I trained in as an activist 40 years ago, "class conciousness" and "class ideology" were central to the effort to transform this class society across many generations (hundreds of years) to achieve a society of one class and one mind, free of individual incentive that's considered "greedy profiteering " (as if there's a single way to measure that); according to Marxism this is the common interest of all the proletariat...to eliminate the existence of itself as a class, globally. It's a highly idealized and reductionist image of humanity's diversity, and it is dangerous idealism, just as any extreme religious ideology. When you base your worldview on Marxism concepts, the world loses its color and evolutionary detail. Imagine having political power over people's lives and you don't know anything about their complexities...daily life today! Today I feel...the American system is the best experiment in representative democracy but requires many very radical reforms (not overthrow and starting over from rubble) to adress concentration of capital (and hence, power and lack of diverse representation. )...As long as humans are imperfect individually and create natural heirarchies among themselves, there will be no "perfect system." especially one free of classes. If anything changes people it is cultural revolution, which becomes political enough.

The quote on Marx seeking to equate the identity of nature and humanity is interesting to consider, especially as it reduces humanity to sheer matter or ‘historical materialism’. Humanity is more than nature, one quote from v. frankl I like on this is how ‘things (objects) determine eachother but humans are self-determining’. It’s seems contradictory that Marx proposed this idea of reflection, as though being abstract from the material, itself almost Cartesian which asserts the presence of the physical alongside the abstract or infinite, and yet Marx denies a recognition of humanity as more than material. Even the Marxist idea of toolmaking, through historical materialism reduces humans to ‘products’ without significantly recognizing an initial cause or immaterial subjectivity from a first toolmaker or historian. Marxism is worth studying to see what ideas then and now are popular.

Life is fleeting we have free will we have the ability to communicate world wide in any language. I believe in Jesus and have faith in him. Id be happier living on mars at least i could die there alone in peace and not have to see or hear or deal with the amount of evil i see, and the amount of machine bondage i see and hear, i feel like im dieing from the airplanes disturbing the peace around our home, the noise levels im subjected to by these companies flying over wolf lake andrideau lakes westport ontario. Makes me want to puke. I guess all these airline companies dont realize or care,thatthe amount of noise pollution that they sre emiting is killing me and the wild life where i live. Noise pollution is a serious issue i have with the way this country works, i also want to share that i read that wirless headphones can give uscellular damage in our brains. Wired headphones are apparnetly saferto use,andhave significantly less emf radiation coming off of them thenthe wirless bluetoooth ones. I read there dangerous to use. Even though there so convenient.the blue tooth wireless headphones wmit unsafe levels of emf radiation going directly into our brains, the study said itcontributes to cellular damage in our brains. Similar to how the noise pollution sound pollution makes us and animals sick. I wish i could move upnorth and never have to hear airplanes or any noises ever again

Jordan Peterson equivocated Cain being lazy linking it with the left wanting what the hard workers have without putting the hours in and saving. How ever it is a terrible analogy. Cain was a farmer and Able was a shepherd. If you compare the two, neolithic farmers worked a whole lot harder with longer hours than shepherds.

Foucault did not reduce human relations merely to power but saw it as an unavoidable part of every interaction/ creation etc. that could, depending on the case, knowingly or unknowingly be used to impact someone which would bring about an attainment of more power than the other which would lead to a hierachisation of taken perspectives. In case such a dominant perspective constitutes itself societally, it will bring with itself forms of akin knowledge and intellectualism which in turn prolong the created power structure. Therefore it can be said that power, everpresent in our lives, is a catalyst for never-ending cycles of dominat conceptions. Btw he drew alot from Nietzsche.

Marx wanted to create hell on Earth but understood better than anyone that the road to hell is always paved with good intentions. Therefore Marx made sure that his own road to hell was paved with good intentions. It's really not rocket science.

It's not surprising that this philosophy came from Germany. The German language is extremely reliant on the left hemisphere, and can often make people neglectful of the insights of the right hemisphere. _Of course_ you'll view things in terms of power and will and mechanisms when this happens - you become blind to the forces and balance of nature around you.

What is a language that’s extremely reliant of the right hemisphere? What’s the opposite of German?
@PsychicAlchemy2 ай бұрын
@@カラスKarasu So far I've only seen the data for German and Arabic. Arabic seems to use both sides more equally. My guess is that Japanese may be the most-right hemisphere language. Western languages rely on the subtleties of word-order syntax to convey deeper meaning and tone. In Japanese the syntax is explicit, but meaning is conferred through context, which is a more right-hemisphere thing. I see evidence of this in Japanese media, which often has much more feeling and energy than western media.

Interesting. Totalitarianism certainly has its roots in German philosophers. Given on a global level it's only a small country you have to wonder if there's something intrinsic in the culture and language that lends itself to a worship of power and a mechanistic mindset.

@@FrBlues-xh9rk Yep, and everywhere I look I see this strange trend toward categorical thinking and a general inability to grasp subtleties, nuance and qualia, that I think goes farther than mere intelligence.
