My gratitude for this man is unreal. When I first discovered his videos, I was a sad, hopeless drug addict, selfish father, and my demons got me in a position where I was homeless and everything was dark. I found the light, and made the best out of what I had, with his words being my beacon of light to outshine the darkness. Now I am back in college, slowly gaining strength on my life, and I am sober going on 2 years. Thank you for everything you do for this world. We appreciate you, even if some dont.

@@philipevans1027 Hello from Las Vegas. I too am here alone w/my drug of choice. I'm alone because everyone's dead. The little family I have built over the last 30yrs. My son died April 28th of 2020 of a cocaine/fentanyl overdose...he would have been 25 on June 3rd. It was just after lockdowns began so there was no hug or kiss goodbye, then his wife of a whole 2yrs, decided we didn't need any of his ashes either. She also kept our 2 grandchildren from us. July 15th the following year her mother decided to take the oldest boy on a trip to Kansas to visit a relative of theirs. When they got there everyone was tired so they all layed down for a while. Well, apparently our grandson got up before everyone else walked into the backyard and drowned in their pool...he was only 3yrs old. That was 2021. Fast forward to last weekend and I discovered my husband dead in bed. He just turned 60 Nov 9th. He literally walked in, took his clothes off and fell into bed and died! 18pk a day for 20+ yrs now....with a sprinkling of hard stuff now and again. He never thought just beer would kill him. As long as he stayed away from the hard stuff. He too was not only functional but productive for many years has a great pension he only got to enjoy for 4yrs. I gotta tell you what really sticks out in my mind is how mean he's been in the last few years. And he wasn't rembrring things quite the way I did. I swear he knew....there were little things...,???Now I sit here, in a mountain of paperwork, drowning in grief that, I swear is going to swallow me whole any minute now! I have so many phone calls to make to people I don't want to talk to, but if I want to try and save this house I have to get pensions rolling and social security and bank accounts it's really all just a blur right now. Too much. Really surreal. So do me a favor and you hold, hug, kiss and smother those little angels of yours with everything you've got. Try and picture waking up tomorrow w/o them in your life. And then love and hug them again! Stay strong and keep fighting the good fight for you and when that's not enough for those two little angels that are depending on you to show them the ways of this world. Show them all you've learned in this world and all that you would change to make it a better place for them. Show them what patience and kindness and compassion are all about. Bet you too could use a bit of all of the above right about now huh? Tell me about it!! Don't know why I felt the need to reach out, if you made it to the end thanks for reading. Always remember, you will continuously surprise yourself w/ strength you never knew you had. Trust me. Your ok now and you'll be alright an hour from now. Write me back. Give them a bath. Listen to your fav song FULL BLAST!! SCREAM INTO A PILLOW WHen everything seems just too dam frustrating. Then LOVE YOURSELF. Ssshhhh. Just love it all.... As my son used to say alot " you got this!" You do got this. Good luck to you sweetheart. Now go kiss those girls and you have a bloody good one! Your friend across the pond?....Sherry♥️✌️😉♥️

Even trees lose their leaves. However, seasons change. Your condition will change too. Please seek professional help and start building slowly. Hoping that you are already a bit better. The only constant in life is change. And sometimes you need these dark times to find out what you are really seeking in life. It is not YOU vs depression. Think of depression as an ally. Your body warns you that the course of your life is a bit off the right course. Few changes are needed. You will be able to make them slowly, of course with social support and professional help. Start by simple things. Try to wash the dishes, cook for yourself, get some sunshine, or make a 20-minute walk, or read a few pages from a book. Whatever it is, please believe that it is not permanent. Countless people have been in this situation and have gotten out of it. It might feel that right now you're in the eye of a cyclone, but trust me, the best things are yet to come. Love yourself. Award yourself with every little progress you make. It is not the right time to be strict with yourself, however, you might set tiny goals.

It’s never about the words you hear on a KZbin video but the words you tell yourself on a regular day basis. These videos can give you temporary motivation and make you feel like you’re ready to turn everything around but eventually the feeling fades. You don’t need videos so much as you need the lessons you can learn from them. The real change and growth comes from your ability to self critique and talk to yourself in an honest and productive way, holding yourself accountable without shaming yourself. Putting the past behind and focusing on the future.

I have to slap my head so hard whenever I read the comments on a JP clip... it's literally only less than .01% of the population who recognize that he's just a banker shill. He's working for people trying to betray your trust and take all your knowledge, work and sanity because yes, they are that malevolent. Keep closing your eyes and ears, I'm done trying to explain to people who to trust, it should be goddamn obvious you can't trust JP. He sided with the people who tried desperately to inject you with multiple toxic bio-weapons for 2+ years. How in the world can you put your trust into that??? Stop defending evil people because they don't mean you well. They're trying to divide the population against itself by teaching them to adopt slave philosophy - i.e. existentialism. That's what Jordan is teaching, not the philosophy of the agrarian communities for example of 100+ years ago because that makes you independent. Jordan doesn't want you to be independent, not until you're old and it's too late to enjoy life and all your money has to be wasted on healthcare.

This seems like a truly destructive force in my life, and thanks to Dr. Peterson and others, it might just be one that gets left behind.
@harrygorman8 ай бұрын
Don’t fall back into that lifestyle/habit - you have shown yourself and others you can be sober. Relapse is part of the cycle of recovery, you haven’t failed, you just need to recognise you are human and pick up (excuse the pun) where you left off. I struggle with alcohol and use it as a coping mechanism, but I don’t have the gift of moderation. So I know if I have one or two, I’ll most likely and history has proven I’ll be back at the store getting more and more as the alcoholism can and does take over. Even with the insight and knowledge that it doesn’t serve me well, it robs me in every way possible until I’m on my knees praying for just one sober day

Ah, Mr. Jordan Peterson-My internet father. The father I never had and always needed. The sadness of this largely fatherless society affects us all and eternally. Some say, without a father is ok if we have one good parent. I disagree. Without a father (as God and biology intended) the mother is not as good as she could be either. It’s corrosive and connected. We must fix this (I’m talking to males out there-those who’ve yet to grow into actual men.) to the true real fathers, husbands, and men out there, I applaud you. We all benefit from your choices that focused on the benefit of others and not just your own selfish wants. God help us please. Amen

I’m going to repeat this video at least once a week. I’ve recently started my own content journey exploring everything from the cheat code to happiness to finding out personal value add propositions. It’s helped me to frame a new operating system for my self… but one thing I’ve not yet revealed is that ultimate problem I’m trying to solve. This video just helped me find that… while listening on the treadmill at the gym I was verging on tears when it hit me. Not only that as my goal, but it has also parted the clouds at the top of that mountain I now need to climb, it has revealed the transcendent goal that follows on from the peak. It’s personal but it’s something every single one of us knows so wel, and something that holds us all back. I know I’ll need to write and speak about this in my channel soon. That will be the first hurdle. But I’m born to walk uphill so now begins my climb ✊
