They need to do this again, with nearly every living female artist in country music, from Loretta Lynn to Reba McEntire, Faith Hill to Gretchen Wilson, and Miranda Lambert to Carly Pearce. I'm talking about a full blown concert at the Bridgestone Arena. They could televise it on one of ths four networks and it would give these girls who are having trouble at radio some exposure.

@stevied95173 жыл бұрын
They should do this again with today's ladies in country music. Mary Chapin is still alive, so what's holding them back? I'm talking Reba, Dolly, Carrie, Loretta, Trisha, Faith, Maren, Patty, Wynonna, Martina, Kelsea, Miranda, Pam, Terri, Emmylou, Tanya, Kathy, Hilary (Lady A), the two gals from Little Big Town, Runaway June, Pistol Annies and more. Maybe we'll get a 2023 anniversary concert.

Such an incredible array of talent on the same stage at the same time. Fantastic music. Mary Chapin Carpenter is the reigning Queen of Country Folk Music. Such an amazing singer / songwriter - I could listen to her play the guitar for hours. Her male counterpart would have to be the late John Denver. He also was a prolific songwriter and such a gifted musician.

Kris Kristofferson and John Prine as well. Female counterparts would be Lucinda Williams and Allison Krauss. MCC had a big hit with one of Lucinda's songs as well.

Of course. Mary Chapin was no longer a headliner music star in 2007 and the older ladies on the stage--like Tammy Wynette, Kitty Wells and Patsy Montana were long dead.

Hello internet, can we not get a better resolution upload of this astounding moment in music?? I cried the first time I saw this and it still brings tears. Do I remember correctly, the lady with the cowgirl hat was actually Kitty Freaking Wells???
@robertwebb35467 ай бұрын
@meredithdevoe2266 The woman in the cowboy hat was Patsy Montana. She had the first country music hit by a woman, “I Want to Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart.” Kitty Wells was in that group, though, but I can’t tell you what she was wearing due to the low resolution.

+Ron/Hector's mom Here's the part where you find out you're both wrong. Ron, this performance is from August 2007 on CBS and the song is 'the Hard Way'. It's in the description under the video. Hector's mom, as for the 1993 performance you mentioned, that song is 'He Thinks He'll Keep Her' and only has Emmylou, Kathy M, Pam T, Patty L, Suzy B and Trisha Y on vocals with Mary. It didn't air until early 1994, also on CBS.
