Ah, during the rush of the New Year, missed this, my fav MCC song. Mary, you are so real, so genuine, so soothing and calming. Thanks for bringing light to an otherwise dark time as we navigate the pandemic. Ashes and Roses is a great album. Keep these Songs From Home coming till we can get on the other side of our vaccinations and I can again see you live, in concert. How about "Only A Dream", my wife's favorite. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful blessings of songs, words, Angus and White Kitty this last year. You have given me something to look forward to each week. I have been working through this pandemic, continue to hear of friends and family that have fought the battle of covid and co-workers too! My life really hasn’t changed much other than I’ve found myself shopping at odd hours in an effort to get items that an hour later are gone and unavailable again. It has actually become a game to see if I can get those items quickly and get out within 10-20 minutes. I saw you in concert many times in the 90’s in Indianapolis and have nearly every album. I’ve always found your songs and lyrics feel like I’m having a conversation with an old friend. I will also say that my sister could be your twin ,but she doesn’t have your gift of words. Thank you again for sharing your gift with us each week. What a awesome gift you have given us all to hear you sing your songs and see you as if we’re in the same room. The line "Like the way you play guitar like a boxer punches with his fists" reminds me of my son Kristopher, He has more talent in his finger than I have in my body and I play several instruments very well. Kris is down in Southern Maine where his daughter lives with her mother. He really doesn't like it there but loves his daughter so much he will not leave. After a friend of mine died from cancer I dreamed of him. I cant remember exactly what the conversation was about but I awoke feeling much better than I did before the dream. Thank you Mary. I wish I had your talent for songwriting. I too am very glad to see the hind end of 2020, however, I will be not only glad but relived to see January 20th behind as. Living under these conditions is like holding your breath and waiting for something terrible to happen and not knowing quite what it will be.Happy New Year to you, your's and to all those who happen to read this.
