I LOVE when you just talk to us.....as though we are friends, sharing the stories behind the songs, telling us what’s going on around your house, letting us know what’s going on with Angus and White Kitty, showing us your sense of humor, etc, etc. These things may seem so small and ordinary, but I think they are so important. These things allow me/us to see You and to see that I have things in common with you. A lot of people have been talking about staying connected. You not only allowed the connection to happen, but you opened the door and invited us in. I am immensely GRATEFUL! Thank you so much. Love you 💜💕 #songsfromhome #staymighty

Dear friend. This afternoon I was walking in the hilly oak forest next to the building where I live in the Czech Republic. I had gone down to the pond, where I had been last week, to see if the Wood Duck ducklings and parents were still there. They weren't. I decided to sit down and listen to your new episode - which premieres here at 4PM. It was as if you were with me here in this beautiful place. As I walked back up the hill that moving song was playing inside of me and you were with me walking and watching the various deer which crossed our way. You touch my soul, Mary Chapin. Once again, thank you for inviting us to spend time with you and the kids during this crisis and for your constant message of caring, calm, hope and support. It means so very much! Love you!

Wow!! You are such an amazing songwriter, Chapin❣️ I felt this so deeply in my heart. I cried for John Doe number 24, a soul who had goodness in him that people most likely never saw because they were looking at all the things "wrong" with him. Thank you for the gentle reminder today that all humanity is valuable and lovable. Sending many blessings and much love your way to You, Angus, and White Kitty💞🐶😺

This is the greatest song I have ever heard from MCC. She could have made this extremely melodramatic and about Mary, but instead she focused on the life of one person and created one of the greatest pieces of poetry I ever heard in music.

There are songwriters and there are SONGWRITERS far and few as gifted as MCC.......I took your suggestion to read the backstory that inspired your lyrics......poetic license aside, yet there was the sense you were soulfully immersed in the character.......the 'arpeggio-esque' lead-in and accompaniment on the Greven J in that 'Martian' altered tuning illustrates your artistry ........wordsmith, tunesmith, musician, and vocalist extraordinaire .....thank you for the breath of Spring in today's sharing of your gift......Inevitable as to how much Angus loves to be around your music

As a musician, I really appreciate being able to hear someone stripped of all the production tricks to really let the true talent shine. One of the best things to come out of our stay at home order has been getting to know some of your songs I've not heard before. THANKS so much for making our life better during this tough time. I will never think of this this time without remembering the kindness of MCC.
