Your bone structure starts to come out more as you get into your 30s but you still look younger than your age; it's really worth waiting through and I have enjoyed watching my face evolve naturally. Hot take but I personally think that they were trying to go for that "editorial/fashion" look, strong features, bone structure enhanced, pale blank canvas face, you know, like euro runway models. That said, their younger faces were so small and delicate, but very all American white GIRL, which fashion hates so much. They would've aged just that way i think, soft features, a bit droopy eyes bc of age, small lips, puffy cheeks. Basic American beauty look. Fame really affected them, but not as much as the fashion world, imagine what tables they have sat on who their friends are. Even their boyfriends have been strangely older in age for them. Their sister is a prime example of the look they wanted to go for, because she's very womanly, not childlike face features. Sad but true.

MK was also constantly compared to Ashley as a child and called the “tomboy” (masc) of the twins when she was a preteen/teenager. This was a really good video. I don't say this to be critical, I understand ppl have issues, that said Mary Kate in particular looks like she's well into her 50s. I'm sure the smoking and ED/low body weight haven't "helped," but there's something to be said for the way buccal fat removal ages the face in an unflattering way later on. This has permanently convinced me not to get one, and I was really considering it. I was also suggested cheek implants instead by the surgeons i consulted with and this video showed the importance of maintaining a healthy amount of facial fat if i proceed, so thank you for the info

Her body weight fluctuations and alleged drug use are the main contributors to why sometimes, she looks very gaunt in the face. Smoking was the only thing she could confirm, but word on the street is she is on much harder substances. In one of the pictures in this video she is in a very bright setting, and her pupils are the size of dimes. That tells me she’s on more than cigarettes. If you want a more sculpted look, that will get more refined with time, bucal fat removal may be a good option. If you want to maintain a youthful appearance, cheek implants may enhance your face without aging you.

I love how you honestly evaluate the plastic surgeries as "good jobs" and "making people look better". I often think that people tend to only criticize and somehow degrade plastic surgery but I do believe if they work out they do improve the looks of the patients (I mean that's the whole point of why so many celebs get them) and it's more than fair to acknowledge this fact.
@elm12303 жыл бұрын
I always thought their appearances, particularly Mary Kate’s, were aesthetically driven. There’s Hollywood beauty standards, then there’s the fashion industry beauty standards, and while the two might mingle, there are distinct differences. In the fashion industry looking a little older, gaunt, and “weathered” seems to be chic, rather than a faux pas. I’ve seen fashion world women with ratty hair, wrinkled sun beaten skin, and malnutrition to combat the most poverty stricken. And they’re just dripping in runway chic. I’ve seen the twins carrying destroyed, vintage, Birkins, something the tabloid sect might be apprehensive to rock. I think they’re aesthetic visionaries and they merge body with clothes to really drive the image home. It’s dramatic and narrative. I don’t doubt they’re pleased with their looks, because they certainly have enough money to compete with the best of em.

I get the feeling that they were sick of being reminded of their cute kid stage on TV, and also felt that their faces didn't look "grown up" enough. They really did have very child-like faces. I think they wanted to be taken more seriously and hanging out in the fashion scene with a lot of models, they probably felt their faces were too cutesy, chubby cheeked, and not sophisticated and model-like. They were trying to be seen as serious high fashion designers, running a business. With their chubby child faces and short height, I imagine some people in business not taking them seriously.
@milliedragon44183 жыл бұрын
@@SY-ok2dq absolutely as a person with a similar bone structure. People do tend treat you more kid like, or like a cute puppy. The Olsen twins are a similar age to me but I learned embrace it. Like bc you look a certain way you can get away with being cute, dressing cutesy however this will make you look more child like. I also think plastic surgery is generic in someways, being proportionately petite means you have a smaller bone structure all round. So those cheek implants look huge on them. And there are certain realistic limitations in plastic surgery. Classic style is recommended for those who have a more ingenue appearance. As it helps you look more older. And definitely see they have honed that. It maybe they are trying to mold themselves to certain ideal or at least someone in their mind. To me I would have left the plastic surgery out of it. And just focus on style.

@SY-ok2dq3 жыл бұрын
I get the impression, taking a quick scroll through images of Elizabeth online, that she might have gotten a small chin implant as well, to lengthen her face and make the chin longer and her face come to a point. And perhaps a slight slimming of her nose, and a little taken off the top to reduce the round ball look. Like the work her sisters have had, these chages make her face more adult looking, sharper and more angled. I suppose they all wanted to ditch the cute child's face look so they can be taken seriously as adults and not make their male co-stars look like pedophiles with them. Elizabeth has always been very pretty since she was a little kid, with no unattractive or awkward stage. I can see why Elizabeth would want to get surgery, for her career etc., but she was so lovely before (the surgery that I suspect she's had). Those Olsen girls got very lucky in the looks department.

Their new noses (after 1st, and then revision job noses) lessened that childlike, round featured look. It made them look more like adults, like grown up women. I think they really wanted to get away from their cute kiddie images. Anyway, they have to live with their noses and see their photos everywhere, and that's the kind of nose they want. It's great to see actresses like Mayim Bialik - herself a former child star - be so content and comfortable with the looks that they inherited from their parents. And it appears that former child stars Jodie Foster and Dakota Fanning have not had any work to change their features or to look different (I'm not talking about some botox for forehead wrinkles because of ageing - that just makes a person look smoother and more like their younger self, it doesn't change their face).

I was obsessed with the Olsen's. After swim lessons, my mom would take me to Drug Emporium for a Kern's drink and a new Mary-Kate and Ashley detective book as a treat! My mom's cousin designed for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's line around 2010. PS- Love Lillysilk. Bought 2 of their skirts and wore them on vacation. I felt beautiful and they helped keep me cool in the Napa Valley wine country.

Thank you for your empathetic take on the Olson twins! Like you said, being put to work in infancy would likely affect their development. It likely would be difficult to form a secure attachment, which is vital to emotional health and relationship functioning throughout a person’s life.

They were (and still are) absolutely stunning! They have such great genes. In my opinion, they didn't need anything done in terms of cosmetic or plastic surgery.
