@Adidas Kixx well I really am telling the truth but it's fine if you want to believe it's a lie. That's the great thing about objective reality. It is what it is despite anyone's subjective delusions.

And that is the problem! I read the REAL STORY, Mary started a prayer life with God as a child and He supernaturally open these doors for her and every time she prayed, God gave her a miracle but these people who want nothing to do with God does leave Him out of the story when He is the ONLY reason why she was able to do these things. God raised her up to help his people as He knew a change was destined to come..

Do you know who is the statue of freedom on the top of the capitol building? Mary Jane McLeod Bethune was a passionate educator and presidential advisor. In her long career of public service, she became one of the earliest black female activists that helped lay the foundation to the modern civil rights movement.

A very good presentation, but some of the facts and pictures are wrong. I worked at the Bethune Foundation (her home) located on the campus of Bethune-Cookman University. My mother, Mrs. Helen Bronson, was the Foundation's curator, and my father was the University President. Feel free to reach out to me for corrections.

Hi I am studying the role of black women in the civil rights movement. Could you tell me / give me any information on the impact that Bethune made that could make my coursework stand out? A remarkable woman!

You should do a DNA test to find other American descendants of slaves (ADOS) who share your DNA.

Nice, nice video. Thank you. Booker and Bethune are great examples of African Americans who took advantage of opportunities this country offered to former slaves and their descendants. These two talented educators actively advanced instead of whining about what they didn't or couldn't have. Many brown-skinned people should take a lesson from them today.

Bethune and Booker T are a very small example of great African Americans. There are a vast number of others. So very many. Our country PURPOSEFULLY OMITS our true history from text books. How do we expect black children to walk proud when this country intentionally leaves out our many important contributions. Which is the very point. Don't be a stupid bigot. If you knew any more about it, you would not make such a ridiculous statement. Your attitude is what is wrong with our country.

I think we should create our own ADOS ancestral carved wooden masks of 13 styles created in the likeness of 12 historical figures and one symbolizing divine unity. I suggest Fredrick Douglas, Nat Turner, WEB Dubois, MLK, Elijah Muhammad and Huey P. Newton for the masculine masks and Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Ida B Wells, Fanie Lou Hamer, Mary McLeod Bethune and Ella Baker for the feminine masks. Any suggestions?

This woman prayed as a child to God and said that she wanted to go to school when there was no option available for her to go to school but after she prayed, God sent a teacher to her parents to convince them on allowing her to come out of the fields and go to school. Everytime Mary prayed, God miraculously answered her prayer by even causing people who would ordinarily want nothing to do with her , to give to her cause. This woman habitually indicated throughout her life how God answered her prayers and leaving Him out of the story would not be her will or desire as she always spoke about her dependance on God and for that reason alone, I gave it a thumbs down

By the look of the photographs, there were a lot of mixed race people back then
Mas é incrível que só tenha biografias mais prolongadas e detalhadas de mulheres brancas. Só porque essa é negra, não encontro uma merda de biografia pormenorizada, detalhada e longa. Que merda!!!

Did her Granddaughter ever go to prison for stealing money from the nonprofit organization she was part of? She was arrested twice for it.
