Yes! Fellow South Carolinian. I am so proud of the works of this woman. Without her pioneering works and countless others, I probably wouldnt be where I am today without her!

Amazing, inspiring and empowering. This information about her legacy is enough to encourage all of us to make a difference in our homes, work and communities. The only obstacles in our lives is our mindset, a truly amazing blessed woman.

My grandmother was from Union SC. I have never been there because of racial violence when I was a girl so its fabulous to learn a little more about her. Im a griot of Black History for my generation.

The National Council of Negro Women, Inc. Columbus Section, will present our Inaugural Bethune Birthday Party. This event is in honor of our founder Mary McLeod Bethune to recognize community leaders who have made great contributions toward changing the lives of women of color as we support our families and communities as well as raise funds to support our continued programming, such as the Bethune-Heights Recognition Program in the spirit of the Bethune tradition.
