Three "Ave's". I often offer up my Rosary for my dad and brother, and now my mom too. I come from a long line of protestants, and I only converted at the age of, oh, 38 I think. (It's been a while now.) My ancestors on my dad's side were mostly Masons. Dad supported them by paying his dues monthly. Unfortunately he was very anti-Catholic even though he and mom read a Catholic book nightly. Thank you for sharing this sermon. - Reg

Great video. I understand Mary to be the Mediatrix of All Graces because she is the perfect woman... revealing God (2nd person) as she wholly returns the gift of love that she first receives. This is the destiny of every woman chosen by God and also every bride of Christ (male or female)... to receive the Gift of God and wholly return it. Mary... empty of self... the lowliest by virtue of the purity of her love for God over self and preserved entirely from the stain of sin... receives the fullest share of God's glory given to a creature because she is so empty of herself... yet holds onto nothing for herself... but perfectly returns all of it back to God... becoming the fount of grace and mercy for us who are also her children.

We must also strive to make reparation to our Blessed Virgin Queens Immaculate Heart on the first 5 Saturday devotion each month. Our Blessed Virgin Mother continues to shine Her Graces upon us poor sinners. The least we can do is comfort Her pierced Heart and make reparation for the 5 kinds of offenses and blasphemeis spoken against the Immaculate Heart of Mary!!

10:45 I know that Lumen gentium uses the term "mediatrix", but see how it doesn't sound right? Jesus is the one (only I assert!) mediator between God and men, and yet Mary is the "mediatrix" (literally a female mediator) between Jesus (God) and man? I don't see why they didn't just call her an intercessor. Why risk confusing her with the One by whom and through Whom we are reconciled with God? To me the controversy with the unfavored title co-redemptrix is not much different. This title sounds like she contributed to our redemption of her own, but one also could argue that the only meaning intended was that of Mary's cooperation with (not a contribution to) God's redemption. And indeed, why risk scandalizing the separated brethren if we don't have to? Mediatrix of all graces is worse; I don't only consider the title unfortunate, I find it hard to believe that its _intended_ meaning is orthodox. This video didn't help much. I undestand Theotokos bore Jesus. But Simon the Cyrene bore the cross. Does this make him a part of the "neck" of the mystical Body of Christ? You'll say someone else would've if Simon didn't, but who's to say God wouldn't choose someone else if Mary said no? Instead, both agreed according to God's plan, as He foresaw after all. You conclude that all prayers of the angels and saints go through Mary. Where is the proof? You even say that we shouldn't petition God directly, come on! If it's about hierarchy, knowing that angels carry prayers of the saints, should we only pray to angels? Or maybe to the patron saints of our cause, and send it up the hierarchy that way? Will I be looking at the face of Mary in heaven instead of God!? I want Him. Jesus be our help!

YOU: To me the controversy with the unfavored title co-redemptrix is not much different. This title sounds like she contributed to our redemption of her own, but one also could argue that the only meaning intended was that of Mary's cooperation with (not a contribution to) God's redemption. ME: Well, I do think that is what the Church intended in some way, to say that Mary did contribute to our redemption by saying "yes" to the angel and becoming the mother of the Savior. I am not in favor of the title "mediatrix" simply because it does cause much confusion among Catholic's and non-Catholics alike. I have to say, its rare that I find another Catholic on here that thinks about things exactly like I do when it comes to prayer to Mary and the Saints. The only verse in Scripture that even comes close to justifying prayer to the Saints is Rev. 5:8, which the Church always uses to defend prayer to the Saints. However, the Book of Revelation can be a difficult book to interpret correctly in many places, and when I read that verse in its context, I'm always troubled about what those prayers (incense) in the golden bowls represent, are they the prayers of the saints on earth, which were offered directly to God, or the prayers of the saints in Heaven, or symbolic of something else? I would be interested to know what you think about that verse, and how you understand it? Peace!

@@morelmaster Disclaimer: As Catholics, we recognize that "Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture form one sacred deposit of the word of God, committed to the Church" (Dei verbum). That is, we hold to the teachings of Jesus and the apostles handed down both "by word" and "letter" (2 Thessalonians 2:15), and that the Church is the foundation of truth (1 Timothy 3:15). God bless you my brother. I wasn't objecting to intercession. That I see as little more than asking your friend to pray for you. My main objection is to all graces flowing through Mary. But what advantage is there talking between ourselves about these things, since we both struggle? I hope someone closer to the Bride will help us gain this sensus fidelium.

Both Mediatrix of All Graces and Co-redemptrix are almost infallible teachings of the Catholic Church since the beginning. I could pile quote after quote from saints, doctors, fathers and popes. But no need, is all available for all lovers of Truth (Catholic and lover of the truth are synonymous). For confused Catholics who are not clear on what they have to believe or not, a good start is "Fundamentals of the Catholic Dogma" . God bless

If she is mediatrix of all grace in the moment of birth when Grace came to the world trough her that's okay 👍🏻 But if you are claiming God is giving us graces Only trough Mary since the birth of Jesus until this day, that no grace came to any christian or atheist but trough Mary .. that's Idol worship heresy

I'm Catholic - and I love Mary and believe all the dogmas on the Immaculate Conception, the Assumption, Mother of God, etc. I do not believe she is the Mediatrix of ALL graces, and many good Catholics don't. She is the greatest saint, yes...but graces can come from other saints, the Holy Spirit, etc. I love Mary as much as anybody, but you All Graces crowd make her a goddess...I think it is heresy and the Blessed Mother would herself reject it.
@RADIOSALVACION

"I'm Catholic" and "believe all the dogmas on the Immaculate Conception, the Assumption, Mother of God". Is redundant and no merit on it as you are obliged to believe them if you want to call yourself Catholic (under penalty of not being able to call yourself Catholic and being outside the Church). Now even if not solemnly defined as dogma, the Mediatrix of all graces is quite binding and its quite the opposite what is heresy. There are so many statement from Popes, Saints and Doctors that we can consider this teaching as infallible, it does not need to be defined as dogma. God bless

Jean, in mythology there is this idea about spiritual beings being brighter than the sun. But there's no proof of that and, more importantly, there is absolutely no reason why this would be the case since the sun emits a ridiculous amount of radiation due to the fusion of about 600 million tons of hydrogen every second. A part of that radiation is seen by us as visible light. The most part of it is absolutely lethal radiation. Now, why would a spiritual being emit brighter light than a star? To what purpose and also without killing us? And how was this brightness measured to come to the conclusion that it was brighter than the sun? By looking at it? How? You can't look directly at the sun without damaging the eyes due to the brightness. But somehow this child was brighter than the sun but not damaging to her eyes.

Scripture says that grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. So how how can she be the mediatrix of ALL graces? Somebody is lying here. Either God's word is false or the church is spreading lies of the devil. I will take my chances that the church is being the perpetrator of satan's lies. Why well God can not lie and his word is true and perfect.

Mary being Mediatrix of All Graces does not take anything from Jesus Christ. It means that because God wants it that way all graces (that come from Christ) pass through the hands of His mother, many ways and reasons to explain why, one of them being that through her He come to the world. And only through her. As annoying as that is for many, but it's a fact. God chose her and no one else, because is God, He is all powerful and knows better than you, me, Luther, Wesley, Calvin... And also He is free to chose whoever he wants, neither us nor any protestant pastor or minister gets to chose through whom the Second Person of the Trinity would come to this world. Now many can be jealous of her, but that doesn't change the facts of the very important role that God provided for her.
