I'm looking forward to the next in the series. I was recently turned on to the Jacobites and Jacobins as some new form of heresy by the left. It doesn't help that there is a jacobitemag.com and a jacobinmag.com. Just so many things to learn about.

The _dichotomy_ of *Jacobitism* and *Jacobinism* is a _useful_ _visualization_ ('mnemonic device') which, for instance, can evoke _associations_ of complex 18th century _political_ _theory_ that are relevant to this day. If one knows about Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary, one will likely grasp the cultural difference between a still somewhat homogeneous, 'catholic' Europe and the radically modernistic _'Whiggism'_ that has been critically 'deconstructed' in historiography, but still dominates political culture and it's modern myths (i.e. as a _superstition_ _of_ _rationality_ _and_ _linear_ _progress_ , ignoring pre-rational drives and natural cycles in human nature and society). The dynastic troubles on the British Isles don't look like much at first glance, but they can be recognized as a memorable _symptom_ of the fundamental shift in international affairs, from the global empire of House Habsburg (including parts of the Americas), centered around tradition, towards a British Empire of global trade and _'westernization'_ . Protestants claim " oh Catholics are such false believers". But looking at nation's who took protestantism compared to staying Catholic the secular ones are typically former Protestants while Catholics nation's have churches left. The satanists aren't scared of Protestant pastors like they are of Catholic priests.
