A timeless hit that will be heard for many years to come. The very definition of a classic without the need for studio enhancements. Mary Wells was definitely a legend in her own time, as well as after her death. The sadness is, we'll never hear music like this again. We will have to reach back in history to listen to the soulful, sultry sounds like this on KZbin. Thank God for this man-made creation (KZbin), that is.

This song was from 1965, and it was one of her songs after she left Motown. She did two albums for the 20th Century Fox label, and that was it, she went to Atco and Jubilee. As for the label itself, it was the label that put out a compilation of Shirley Temple albums with songs from her films since it was on originally 20th Fox before it became 20th Century Fox Records.
