I saved it for sometime. She was very nice over the phone. An acquaintance of mine was very good friends with her till the day she passed. RIP Mary Wilson. ❤️

What Bill Wyman said about Black folks not knowing the Blues is VERY true. Many of us are embarrassed by it. I grew up listening to it via my grandparents. And just like Mary Wilson said I and other young Blacks were into Motown, Stax, rock n' roll, etc Now, of course, I remember all those blues tunes I heard growing up (Howlin' Wolf, Bessie, Dinah and Billie, B.B. King, etc.) and love it. About 15 years before he died I heard an interview with B.B.King and he was so sad in saying that young Blacks don't want to have anything to do with the Blues. It was really sad.

This is SO cool. I get out to L.A. for a month each year and usually end up at the L.A. Amoeba outlet on Sunset Blvd. every couple of days. The stock is forever changing.
