This was when Lenny Bias began to show flashes of his future stardom. One of the most shocking deaths in sports history. Bias and Bird on the same team would have been something to see.

Thank you to all who post these vintage UNC games. I was too young to even remember the 84 Tar Heels but love watching every single UNC game before my time. Thanks again for posting them

North Carolina 84 Team should've won the National Championship if it wasn't for Kenny Smith injury.

I miss NBC Sports covering basketball games. Dick Enberg & Al McGuire were the best.

Kenny got hurt UNC undefeated, then after loss, UNC won all then lost two, Kenny not 100 percent caste on, Dean should have stayed with Steve.

I remember the Kenny Smith injury vs LSU at Carmichael Auditorium. I'm a Georgetown fan, and honestly thought we were gonna meet up in the Final Four for the 1982 National Title Game rematch. You were the #1 Seed in the East, we got shipped out West as the #1 Seed.
