He ddin't block much at all. He did Kaishi waza and suriage waza as well as some Makai Tsuki. Which is all good Kendo for Shinza.

Yah u guys are right ok. I of course don't know more than miyazaki and can't play kendo like him. It was more of a comment by a fan, but I guess kendo is not a sport. I love Miyazaki myself and it wasn't an appropriate thing to say. As u know many ppl don't like MIyazaki's kendo style because it's too "sporting". I think I was in a nit-picking phase and yah those thought shoulda stayed to myself. Didn't mean to degrade him, he's still a god of kendo. Apologies.

I don't think it was that impressive at all. For me he does way too much blocking, stepping back. For 7th dan aren't you supposed to be able to read your opponent's mind and demonstrate high level oji waza such as nuki doh, men suriage men, kote kaeshi men etc. He still relies too much on his speed instead of timing to land his ippons. My thoughts.
