Man that fight for me was long and difficult. I was playing on hard mode (so ig I had it coming) and it was the most difficult test of patience I’ve ever faced in a video game, but it was thanks to the fight that I learned that Vitality Nahobino is the way to go for post game

Heard this second hand so don't quote me on this, but I heard his heals aren't random. Basically if you hit him with an element during your turn, he'll replace his attack with the same element with a shield. So the more variety of mives you hit him with, the more often he heals.

I don't know, the strategy shown in the video hits him with 3 different elements but I personally have never seen him heal more than twice in one turn; and with a different party on easier difficulties I've used more and less elements and it's still between 1-2 heals per turn. There probably is some logic to it though that could be figured out given enough data.

​@@RozalinGaming I think that's because the type of attacks he does in a turn goes down the elemental line (Phys->Fire->Ice->etc), so there's a chance he never got to any of the later elements you hit him with. Again could be wrong, but what I've seen from videos this seems to be the pattern he goes with.

@@snek_6322 his elemental attacks have been varied for me, showing no pattern. For example I've seen had him go an entire fight without using physical; I've seen him go fire -> ice one turn and then ice -> fire the following turn, etc.

@@RozalinGaming Yeah just thought him again and it seems like he can change the order of the moves. I tried to cheese him with an Inanna that knows Drain Phys, and the guy just stopped using brave blade all together and just spammed allmighty. On the plus side, found out he replaces an elemental attack with freikugel if you nulled it last turn.

It is real-his chain just usually gets disrupted by a drain or repel ability, but I have seen Masakado heal three times in a row. Had to figure it out to form an strategy on a 1st run without Canon of Vengeance skills (on Hard-can be done, but difficult.) Some skill combinations can make the battle last forever-hapoened to me. I had to stick to very few "elements" to win the fight on my 1st game's run (electricity, almighty, and physical.) It's nice that there are myriads of ways to approach the fight, and brute force works too, but I was using a support Nahobino, so most of the damage came from Zeus and Vritra. Fun to win, but took hours of experimenting. Physical, Fire, Ice, Elec, Wind, White, Black is his basic chain, but he will alter the starting order throughout the fight. When you see him Diarama right away, you probably used physical. It is not necessary to know this, as brute force will override his extra heals, but in my case, it was the key to the battle. I like that there are many ways to do this! Tried tanking too, but failed and did something else (I k.ow it works, or course.) The Recalcitrant Execution is a mystery to me-besides HP being low, sometimes he does not uses it, uses it FIRST, or so.ewhere else later along his chain of attacks. So I haven't solved the fight, but can confirm any elements used against him will be Diarama'ed next turn, when it's his turn to use the corresponding Dracostrike.

I’ve been watching you since the normal SMTV and your guides were a great help! You helped me make build and get a good grasp of the game mechanics. Currently I’m enjoying my second run through Vengeance (Hard) and going for Godborn on my next. I’ve always been a great Persona fan and thanks to you SMT is one of my favorite games of all time!

Another strat is having a demon with taunt while draining/repeling hes elemental and phys attacks, he rarely uses friekugel and hes unique Almighty attack when i fought him and he just kept lossing press turns and he didn't even get to heal, also i would like to mention in the off chance he uses friekugel you should always block so you don't get insta killed and not be critted.

Given you're doing this on chaos mode and at level 150, this means I have a stupidly long way to go still before I'm even close to ready for a fight against Masakado. I do little damage beyond 200 - 300 on this guy and he just shrugs it off like it was nothing. :P

I think these stats are the godborn level stats as well as possibly being the extra sword from CoV mode that makes him even harder

You can also use chaotic will and a dodge tank to decrease his press turns but that is still kind of cheesy.

what about Lilith's unique attack, mother earth (i think that was it's name), she can create a physical protection shield for all characters for one turn

That only protects against 1 attack and not the two attacks that are actually deadly.

Doesn't Parsalene Blur also scale with strength? If so, wouldn't High Phys Plemora be better than the regular Light Plemora?

So if you kill the 4 kings before you start the Masakado quest are you locked out of it ?

no, once you talk to arahabaki and win the lord's sword all 4 kings respawn and have to be talked to and fought at a higher level than they were at in the field and 4 press turns.

Are there alternative demon besides that ugly thing (arioch)?

Not really the best, but Yoshitsune, Agrat, Zeus might have some potential too. None of them will really come close to the damage potential of arioch generally avoid almighty and strength based demons with the exception of the innate skills that allow for magic to crit are better than magic based demons.

I like his design, as he is a fallen angel, but agree that I do not love having most of the team killed on purpose to power Arioch up. But I do not mind if many do it. It can be done with all sorts of demons, to be honest. Did *normal* Masakado on Hard with Nahobino/Zeus/Vritra/Sakuya, and IIRC, Zeus died a couple times, Sakuya once, but it was no problem. However, the last bit of health is dangerous due to Recalcitrant Execution, which may critical. Often, guarding is wise. While I enjoyed beating it with Dragon Dance Madness Nails on Vritra (Madness Glint on Zeus for seal and confusion), I definitely am leaning towards not trying the real Masakado on another run. :P

@@RozalinGaming First off, thanks for the videos, really appreicate them! Reg. noise, if you use the adobe suite to edit your videos, adobe audition has a really neat "capture noise print" and "noise reduction (process)", along with a couple of effects, can remove just about any background noise if you have a decent audio recording. Just don't go too overboard, as it can make the audio a bit "watery". It can be a bit fiddly, but once you have a good setup, you can save it as a favorite preset, and when you go to record new audio, capture a new noise print and use the preset you made. You can also try putting a sock over your mic, to filter out background sounds. But from what I can tell, people online write that it has some mixed results and can make your voiceover a bit muffled if the sock is too thick, or do nothing if it is too thin. I use one myself, and from what I can tell, it cleaned up my audio quite a lot. Regardless, I'll look forward to whatever you post next!

@@minihali I know about removing background noise -- I worked with my roommate who is an audio engineer to setup my audio. I just don't like the sound produced when using noise reduction software. Maybe Adobe has improved their software since I last used it, but currently I have stopped using them and do not intend to because of their recent policies; that and I don't like their subscription model either.

@@RozalinGaming Completely understandable that you want to cut out adobe, to say their practices, both monitization and business wise are awful, is really an understatement. And yeah, noise reduction can make your audio watery, so sometimes some having background noise really is the lesser of two evils. Anyway, I'll look forward to what you post next!

Do you mean Shiva? If so, most likely as Tandava applies two stacks of Rakunda, so that's two stacks of Scarlet Blade and even just one stack is deadly.
