Don’t know if this is the entire explanation, but here goes… When Mike is on top, he has Imanari's left arm pinned against his chest (so no undertook Imanari). Hand near head is crossface, other hand is behind back to close off roll away, right leg is hooking down to prevent any bridging and also adding force/pressure on the far hip (something to note is the hooked leg is also being pulled out more to prevent any potential scramble/bridging over to close guard on Imanari's end). Once he feels 3/4 position on Imanari, the leg on hip while staying tight goes around back, crossface hand is assisting with back take by pulling shoulder and is also in position for RNC.

@@anonymousanonymous7600 it seems to be from a knee cut series. If you look at 2:25 he's already cut through, just didn't clear the leg. Imanari is doing a good job of framing on the bicep to prevent a full cross face. I saw prior Mighty Mouse and Mikey were working back take finishes and follow ups so the back take must've been the plan from the start. Which is why his knee cut didn't go to side control, instead immediately for back take.
