Masamori Tokuyama - Is a Japanese-born Korean former professional boxer who competed from 1994 to 2006. He held the WBC Super Flyweight title twice between 2000 and 2006. Because of his affiliation with North Korea and his experience traveling to the country, he had been banned from entering South Korea and the United States. However, he changed his nationality to South Korean in February 2007. Tokuyama thrived on having excellent fundamentals, rapid speed and the ability to dash in and out of range. Although his style was somewhat basic, Tokuyama mastered the jab and dominated his division making 9 successful defences of his crown.

Very forgotten fighter for an unknown reason I still remember the first day I learned some south korean guy has been world champ, and then found out he was in top of that a very good champion. I hope this video could help bringing some lights on a very underrated champion, from one of the most stacked division of all time

Even though he's an orthodox fighter, the way he darts forward and covers so much distance with his right hands reminds me of Pacquaio. He obviously doesn't have Pacquaio's hand speed, athleticism, and rhythmic footwork. But he's got a good left jab. Love the way he shifts forward into a southpaw jab after his opponent's back away from his right cross. Good fighter.

Absolutely that's a good comparison. Tokuyama was a basic fighter but he did all of the basics so well that he didn't need to necessarily be dynamic. Very good fighter and highly underrated.
