I'm still lovin' my Maschine Studio! I think I'm the only one left in 2024 still using one, now that you are not.

Sh*T.. I still use the studio too lol. I got a maschine+ too but it’s something comfortable about the studio that makes me keep using it.

@@MBO1991 My man that is exactly right! It just feels like a station and i like the pads centered, with the controls on each side.
@MBO19919 ай бұрын
Absolutely! I put it back in the box one day and pulled it right back out the next. Still my favorite maschine tbh
@HoldMyBeerFam9 ай бұрын
@@MBO1991 Agreed. I hope if there is a new Maschine that it is a flagship "Studio MK2". I want that quality feel and space to work, while also having the real-estate to throw in some high quality components due to less size constraints.

I have mk3 now too but it shares the desk space with the Maschine Studio. Can't let it go. It also has a way better controller script for Ableton Live!

That first chord progression was a I - V - vi - IV, which would really help your viewers to know 😕🌌

Is there any possibility to edit your chords in the step sequencer? Because it's only selecting the root note and nothing else 😅

Yes, using the pattern editor, or step sequencer

Yes, might be an extra button push or so. I'm not exactly sure how this works on the compact units. I want to say you can cycle using the project button.

As a keyboard player, I understand your tutorial completly. The problem here is, 90% of groovebox users don't bother to learn theory and have no idea of what an "inversion" is. I think you started too deep.

Do you know how the more complex chords are constructed? Like what musical modes are being used? It can't just be standard major (ionian) and minor (aeolian), can it? So what is it? Dorian, phrygian, lydian, mixolydian, locrian? Or something else entirely? I'm asking because it seems relevant when one has to play along with the chords later on. If I want to play a phrase on the guitar, the phrase has to be in key. Or if I want to record vocals using autotune, I have to let the software know what scale is being used, so my vocal is going to hit notes within the scale. Does anyone know?
@FizzENT5 ай бұрын
Sorry, I'm not 100% certain on music theory, but you are able to stack notes/chords and if it sounds good in other scales its all good
