On the road for the first time in a while. Couldn’t bring my Maschine due to baggage space, but have my laptop, an M32, and my plugin HD. I’ve used the Maschine (and plus) hardware so much that ended up buying a Mikro today in Salt Lake City (live in Dallas) since it have room for it in my carry on. Didn’t know this video was out there, but am so grateful for it! I basically understand how it works, but enjoyed your take on it and some of those tips. Thanks!

this was very helpful. I was wondering if you could make another sampling video with maschine where you chop a sample, detune it or change the pitch, and then find what scale the new chops are in, and then make your own bassline, and melodys over the chops using the scale mode. that would be awesome and i'm sure other people would appreciate it too! thank you for your time and effort you put into your videos!

Remember, you can't sample "into" the Mikro, you'll need to sample into your computer and then load that recording onto the Maschine software.

I have a request, when you're a filming your next top down hardware review, maybe you can use something consumable like a cup of coffee or a piece of fruit to fill any open space in the corner (like what you did with Godzilla) this way I can feel like I'm contributing to your great channel. BTW, thanks for the tip on the Kontrol M32, so much more useful than the Alesis V25 with Native Instruments plugins, at least for me anyway. Keep up the good work.

I think you should post a video on how to sample into mashine from a song on KZbin... I did it with a aux cord and 1/4th adaptor from my phone but it only recorded on 1 side (left). I have a monprice 10 channel mixer, could I use that to sample through with my spliter (2AV, 1/8th jack)?

Thank you so so much for these great, easy to understand tutorials. I would have Been totally lost w/o these and probably give this thing away w/70$ separate software. I just got this set up so I can use my Roland spd-30 pad to trigger the great drum sounds/kits from maschine 2 software. I’m not much of a finger drum, now I can use my sticks that have great control and coordination the possibilities are endless. This is much easier to chop samples in than AB live simpler imo, and this runs as plug in w/AB live.

btw you can chop your samples directly on the mikro... just adjust the start and end time for the first chop then duplicate the sample and re adjust the start and end time ... keep doing that until you have all your chops

Sanjay, I love what you do. I am a total newbie and I am wanting to get into lofi/boom bap style of hip hop production, merely as a hobby. I have been a follower of hip hop since the early 80's. I am not a musician, so I will be 100% sample based. I am on the fence between the MPC One or the Maschine MK3. Can you guide me in the right direction or provide any advice? What am I doing if the sliced sample overlaps itself when it loops? How can I adjust it so that it perfacly fits to the langth of for example, 2 or 4? Is there something like an auto loop funktion like in ableton? And please do more tutorials.
