THIS is what I call a DEMO !!! Not a lot of blabla and a set already ...set, but the actual seeing and hearing of what she can do ! For a total beginner and kinda dummy like me ( yet willing..!!) at programming, this is exactly what i expect to see and hear to help make my mind ! Thanks Matt !

Nice early look into that drum synth! Exciting stuff.
@peanut51611 жыл бұрын
Every one of these drum synths are awesome. They make some amazing high quality sounds and the plate reverb can give you that final touch you need. I make hip hop and there are a lot variations in making analog sound drums. I wish there were more analog snare options though. They have a lot of acoustic snare engines if you're into that. Make the upgrade to Maschine 2.0! You won't regret it.

Just got my Studio 3 days ago and I spent the last 3 days just downloading extensions and updating software. This is my first controller and I think I bit off more than I could chew on this one. It would be nice if you guy could put beginner tutorials on Lynda.com or something. Most of the tutorials on here assume you already know what your doing. Probably going to be married to this for the next few months!

Hi! After 0:37 sec. you see a lot of instruments to the left. Are those included in the 2.0 software? I don't have any of them in my upgrade. Only "maschine". Are they from Komplete or am I missing something? Thank you!

Hi, under all instruments, how did you get it to display photos? Also, how do load a kit? Every time I try, only one drum loads up, instead off all 16 pads populated with sounds only a single pad lights up and makes a sound.

You should post more drum synth tutorials. I'm trying to make a certain type of trap hi hats like for example in the song Work by ASAP Ferg. I think a lot of people would like that. I can make some cool hi hats but I can't get the effect like in that song.

Are there any specially designed full synthesisers that you can program easily just using the hardware - the same as you would using an elektron analog four. I don't like to use presets or samples and just tweak them. I prefer to make my own sounds. This seems to offer similar functionality to the analog rytm but I don't know if it's anywhere near as good or maybe it's better? I'm trying to decide what to get for live performance use and in the studio.

Matt, I have a question for you. I am looking to purchase one of the expansion packs, but I am looking for a specific sound located in the samples. It seems like you have a pretty comprehensive list of kits and might be able to help me. It's called "Atari..ggio" do you have this sound and what pack is it in? Thanks.
@MattCellittiMusicTutorials11 жыл бұрын
you must have been watching some Jeremy Ellis videos :) - probably his own custom samples. They aren't located in any of the expansion packs as far as I can tell

@esoterik4510 жыл бұрын
Didi Medina Simple. Stack the drums in the pattern arranger (so they play at the same time). Go to an empty sound slot (after muting all other sounds besides your two drum samples, and your empty sound slot). Switch to your sampler mode. Then just hit play, while you are recording. Your two (or more) sounds will play simultaneously. Once it's recorded, you can put it on one, or as many pads as you desire. Otherwise, the closest you can get, is using link groups.
@OrcinusLaryngologist9 жыл бұрын
zafergash Click the pad, go to sample, go to zones, go to add, find what you want in the browser, and boom. You're welcome.

@alexgregory142711 жыл бұрын
wow, all this technology to make a "trap" (what ever that is) beat , that sounds like 1991. so outdated - and plasticky. nothing rich and analog here. the 808 Kick is good - nails it, but you gotta use these tool sot make KCRW ish music, not crystal clear shrill loops. imo. that said: GOOD TUTORIAL, maybe the music is meant to be secondary here.!!
@SupremeSoulstice11 жыл бұрын
He's trying to get the point across that, despite the sounds he used being to your liking, the capabilities that the drum synth possesses to be able to craft any sound to your liking. I hate trap music but the point was made. Not sure of your point of the sounds coming across as 'plasticky' either, the maschine sounds amazing.
@8-BitHeart7911 жыл бұрын
I rather like the way you worded this. Rather than be an annoying troll you composed yourself like a civilized person. That being said, while trap is simple by comparison to many types of music it is the tone that draws me. Coming from a background of rock, punk, metal and industrial I find something rather soothing in the bass. Bassnectar is a good example. Granted some trap can be truly annoying there is some worth listening to and expanding your musical palette. :-)
@RedAvery110 жыл бұрын
Nah music can never get outdated.

You can make all kinds of music/genres/soundscapes with Maschine 2.0. The only real limits are your determination and creativity (oh and perhaps your PC spec and whether you are using 64bit version software or not lol). Seriously, You can score for movies on this thing if you utilize it correctly (and I mean zimmer/silvestri style, given enough patience. Not just John Carpenter ala Zombie Zombie type synth noise either). The sound quality I get from this beast is amazing.
