***** Is there anyway that you can automate compression in Machine Studio to turn SC on and off during different points in the song? I find that I have to recreate the entire track and do some serious shuffling in order to do this, but thought I'd ask if there's an easier way. Thanks.

Can you sidechain anything? For example, sidechain piano to duck when a synth is playing? Or is it mainly for kick and bass?

The maschine studio looks soooo old after MKIII came out. Glad i updated. The studio's mushy buttons still haunt me at night.

Great tutorial Matt! Dubspot is definitely one of the best tutorial channels! One question tho... why do u use a stereo sc comp at the end instead of mono? Knowing when to use a stereo plug instead of mono for comps and eqs is just baffling me at this point? PLEASE HELP!!!

I used a stereo version of the compressor because I put it on a pad, which was spread across the stereo spectrum. Using the mono version would have shrunk the width of my pad. Use the mono compressor on bass.

All those options you have Side-Chain-Input. I don't have those Do I need to DL from somewhere else??????? Yes I have 2.0 running inside MabookPro.2013

All of those side chain input options are there because I have so many Groups and Sounds loaded in this project. Any Sound can be an input source, which is why there is such a large list.

Why does lowering the threshold on the compressor make my bass so damn loud? The maschine compressor is the only compressor ive ever used where lowering my threshhold makes it louder. And I see this "center Frequency" dial on the compressor im not understanding what difference this makes either

it's a brand new iMac, fam. Originally i though it may have been a bit rate difference between the program and computer, but i think it has something to do with compression.
