We took the Ghibli Cup in its original condition to the winding road to test its limits and enjoyed the excellent handling and accelerator response. Sports cars such as Ferrari and Porsche released in recent years have become significantly bigger, and there is a tendency to overwhelm power and size on such winding roads, but this Ghibli Cup is just the perfect size and can run comfortably with the accelerator fully pressed. There were many low and medium speed corners but surprisingly, the car impressed us with a considerable amount of exercise performance than we guessed from the appearance. Almost all of the medium speed corners were casually cleared with 2nd gear and could be accelerated with 3rd gear without sufficient time lag. This car clearly benefits from the high cornering speed and the engine characteristics without the torque and power drop of the turbo lag. Therefore, it is possible to secure a sharp cornering escape velocity without maxing out the engine, making it easy to drive in the 3rd gear even in situations where it seems that you have to repeat power ups and downs. It is not an exaggeration to say that Ghibli Cup’s handling with neutral steering characteristics do not cause understeer and oversteer. The front and rear load is fairly easy to control using the brake and accelerator. The high cornering performance gives a deep nostalgia that allows you to feel the grip of the tire on your waist. There is plenty of room even in the limit range and it is safe to say that nothing happens even if you push considerably. At first glance, it looks like a high-class date car that suits the city vibe, but surprises anyone who gets to drive it. It turned out that there were no problems driving the Ghibli Cup aggressively on the winding road.
