not really. that's just a poor man's criticism. maseratis are very different from ferraris...they offer more luxury (ferrari offers only performance)

The S version with Sportline look better and you'll keep the two rear seats. The MC Stradale only got a rollcage back there. Yeah and a little more bhp. This GT is a tourer, going long distance over a long time, when the stradale is a racer, with the S&M bondage seatbelt....

it is the 4.2, the S has 2 exhaust tips ( one on each side) this car has 4 in total, two on each side, and the S is a little lower and has a larger rear spoiler which is built into the rear of the car.

The quality and workmanship is amazing, but I feel like they excuse a terrible infotainment system with Italian style and finesse. There are $30,000 cars with better entertainment system tech. I love the car, but if I'm going to drop over $110,000 for one, I need to know I'm not compromising on anything. That's my only qualm about this car. Oh, and it needs a little more power. It's a ferrari engine. lol Maserati should be bold & bump it up to minimum of 500hp at the crank. Otherwise I love it!

Not sure if you got your answer yet, but this is the 4.2. The 4.7 is represented with single exhaust ports on either side of the rearend. That's the easiest way I could tell them apart. I don't see any difference just looking under the hood.

I recently purchased 10/19/2017 bought a Maserati quarto Porte from @maseratiofsandiego and this car is nothing but a piece of junk, has been to shop for service twice, just noticed they missed stitching on the middle back seat and other issues very poor build quality what a junk, I will loose few thousand and get rid of this junk, I hate @maserati Don’t buy Maserati.
