My first month with Grecale Modena, everything is flawless....I do not encounter any flaw described here or below comment. (I bought mine from Maserati of Seattle, USA) - however, the way I drive it I only get 18 MPG instead of advertised as 25 city/30 highway

A good car. Just too expensive for what it is...

Well, the price for what it offers just makes no sense. Uninspiring exterior design. Reminds of a Porsche Macan. Especially the headlights.

As a current owner, there are way too many little software bugs and quirks with the platform that make it an extremely irritating car to live with. Outside of the interior and exterior design, the Macan beats it in every dept.

Sorry to hear that 🥲 I am curious to know what were the bugs, would love to hear a more detailed review from an owner's long term usage.

@@YallaMotorEnglish The whole keyless entry system is a mess. I want beeping turned on when I walk away and it’s all or nothing so it beeps when you open the car. The problem is that every time you touch the front door handles, the car beeps twice and it does it even when the car is already unlocked. Putting packages in the back means touching the front door, open the back and then opening the front door which is 4 beeps. Have a passenger and that’s 6 beeps. It’s sometimes double beeps when touching the handle so that scenario can mean 10 beeps. If I get out of the car and walk to the gas tank, the car locks before I get there so I then have to get to the key to push the button. Walking around to the passenger side back door to get the dog is almost impossible without having it lock. The trunk kick sensor doesn’t always work when walking up to the car which is probably related to the whole keyless entry issue. Walking up to the car, the car sometimes won’t unlock and you have to go back to the physical button or walk away and walk back to the car. The auto lowering suspension doesn’t always work. The wireless charger didn’t work and had to be replaced. Numerous software defects. A vibrating speaker they can’t fix. Sounds starts playing out of one speaker for a few minutes. Car loses signal with the key when inside the car. The loaner Grecale had issues with the front collision warning system. The drive buttons don’t always work when you push them and you have to push again. It’s a steep learning curve as there are lots of quirks on how certain things work so reading the manual is a must. The issue is that the manual is written by an Italian who speaks English so it’s a really tough read. They don’t reference page numbers and functionality is often called out in multiple places so follow instructions in one place and you may find it still doesn’t work only to read it somewhere else where they list others things that need to be followed to make it work. In general, it’s just a quirky and frustrating car to own and live with, and being the most expensive in its class means it doesn’t make it a car I would recommend. It’s a car you buy with your heart and not with your head!

@@warrenber I am really sorry to hear that again, but appreciate your detailed feedback ✌I don't know if I am wrong or correct, but from my personal experience, 1st gens of any model have some factory defects sometimes. It's a machine at the end of the day, you know. Then brands build on these updates, recalls and fixes. If it was for me, I would be patient with it because it's a car that I bought and try my best to communicate with the dealership and try to fix everything. I am a firm believer that they would be the best to help you with that. If you need anything else, please private message me on my Instagram @fadi_habr , I would be more than happy to help you. Are an owner of the Maserati grecale GT or modena or troffio?

@@warrenber I am sorry to hear, the beeps can be turned off. My first month with Modena, and it is flawless (I live in Seattle)....the dealer taught me all the shortcuts from volume control to may more short cuts. The car is amazing.

I own a Grecale: the design of the infotainment is horrific. So is the placement of the gear selectors and the stupid idea to have them as buttons. Right above the touch screen for the climate control. These design flaws wear you down over the time. Have you heard the three chimes when you start the car? The accept button every time? Do you like the loud sound of the turn signal? The audio mute also doesn't hold. Any messages on CarPlay make the stereo come back on etc etc etc so many bugs. Sadly there is a reason Porsche sells 4x more Macans than the entire annual production of Maserati. Oh and I forgot: good luck giving your car to a valet. You have to give them instructions through the open window
