If it wasn't his rookie year last year I would agree with you. As of right now I'd say start Mason for the rest of the season, or do a halftime swap if something isn't working right. I think Kenny Pickett is a comeback QB, Mason Rudolph is a game winning QB whose aggression sometimes gets the best of a clear read.

This is just one game. But, I would start Mason again against Seattle. However, if Mason falters, have Kenny ready. Can't be any more fair than that.

In 3 spot starts over 4 years - Mason has 5 TD's 2 INT's. 282 yds/game avg. 24 pts/game avg. It hasn't been perfect, but it's better than anything we've seen in the 30 games we've had to suffer through with the other two.

Mason is a back up! Or maybe even a QB1 on a poor team…. He can make plays and win you games here and there but he will never be elite… I love Mason and been chanting for his start since Pickett for hurt.. he reminds me more of a Charlie batch.. great back up and the fans love him

Man, Ben poisoned the well on this kid !! Ben was front and center 😳 to his replacement and knew with time that this dude was going to supplant him!! How quickly we forget the comments that Ben made one time when he was asked about Mason that he wasn't there to hold his hand. Even said something to the effect of he's not here to run a daycare. I get it he was washed up he was old, and he was afraid of life after football. But credit mase for hanging in their!!

Ben went on public record saying Mason was a wasted draft pick - that we should have used that pick for another need to win now ... and yes - that was Ben's fragile ego getting the better of him because he knew the end was near and the heir apparent was right in front of him right then and there.

Rudolph has to start . he is avg 70-80 QBR understands reads........ Pickett is 38QBR ... we have seen it all season........ Rudolfph is rust central......... Trubiski is jump ball central... I go with Mason 100 times over
