Mason Rudolph IS the starting QB of the Pittsburgh Steelers, PERIOD! Picket better get used to being what he is, a back up to Rudolph. What a performance today by the offense, 468 yards of offense. Mason is the master of this offense.

Why Mason Rudolph has been treated so shabbily, and there is no other word for it, is a mystery. Coach Tomlin is one of the better coaches in the league, and that makes the situation more perplexing.

The true miracle is this: Mason didn’t give up on HIMSELF. Many players would have called it quits. A one year, $1M contract is peanuts for an experienced player. Glad he is getting a shot to rejuvenate his career. He will get a better contract with a better team next year if he wins out.

I know Ben Rothlisberger is retired, and people are recalling mostly fond memories of him, but he was kind of a jerk to Mason. I agree that they could have made a different choice, but once he was there, Ben could have mentored him some. Rothlisberger left meat on the bone in Pittsburgh and that is not Mason's fault. I just want to see Mason get a fair shot. Kenny doesnt have me convinced.

I predicted Rudolph would start by mid season due to injury and bad play and those things happened but Tomlin was trying hard to justify the trubisky signing . Well that's why we are where we are. Let's put that behind us and give Mason his way over due chance to show what he can do within what he has to work with. Of course if he throws a couple picks in a win or lose effort he will be called trash and will never see the field in Pittsburgh ever again

Man, I've been watching interviews and hilight breakdowns of Rudolph all week. Unbelieveable how this kid got put aside. Besides that helmet fiasco some years back, i just dont see a single reason why he shoudnt be starting. This is a QB that has learned from mistakes and had some time to mature. Looking forward to hes next game. Should good.

Mason Rudolph may not have shown the skills because as the 3rd stringer he aint getting the same amount of reps. Mason before was a decent game manager. Coming off the bench and seeing two QBs struggle through different things, Mason has taken notes and corrected the issues on his own. That is showing his growth and maturity. Mason isn't able to display that in practice because of low reps and the opponent is your own team. Playoffs or not Mason is competing now for next year. Whether its here or somewhere else. Kenny has the same opportunity to take notes and compete next year or be ready to jump in if the magic starts to wither. I'm hopeful Mason will do well. The D has to step up. Lamar is primed right now and I would imagine Baltimore doing what they can to keep us out the Playoffs. It's been a crazy roller coaster. Lets gooooo Black and Yellow. We are a Team regardless of who has the ball. F the drama and give the rock to whos hot and be ready if we need make change. Our men just gotta be humble and glad they are on this team. Period!

If Rudolph wins out for the Steelers, I think Mr Rooney will be more than happy to open the checkbook... and I think Trubisky will be looking for another team... Keep McSorley as the third option and look for a mid-round QB...

I believe Masons number needs to be called as the starter, let’s say he’s having a really good game and he has one hiccup that may turn into an interception all of a sudden, would you pull him out I wouldn’t because all quarterbacks have a hiccup until he is as bad as Mitch or Pickett. I would leave him in. He has proven that he can play soooooo let him play, because honestly if they let him go he will have another job the next day.

We Do Not Need A $245,000,000. 00 new QB. Mason is it. Give him a New contract. Give him 1/2 that and use rest to get some other needed players. Why? Because Tomlin. Tomlim always punished Mason for the incident in Cleveland. Honestly , Tomlin made alot of bad decisions in Roethlisbergers last years. Mason should have been lead in Bens last years and made Ben a Back up.

Mason Rudolph should have been awarded the starting position when Ben retired...instead Steelers signed Trubisky to #1 until a week later & signed Pickett, pushing Rudolph to #3. 😳 Tomlin totally dissed Mason Rudolph. Pickett received a free gift without strings. Steelers wasted time & loads of money fetching 2 additional QB's when they should have invested in an Offensive Coordinator & O-Line. FYI: Trubisky became highest paid 2nd string QB in NFL...fact. If Tomlin disses Rudolph one more time i'm through with this overrated wordsmith. For the rest of this season & post season, Rudolph deserves a full opportunity (win or lose). During the Cincinnati game Trubisky & Pickett were sullen faced as Mason excelled. They couldn't bring themselves to be happy for him...all those months & years Mason cheered for his team mates 🤔 After the Cincinnati game it was revealed that this was the first time (under Tomlin) that Rudolph was given 7 days advance notice before actually starting a game. 😲 Rothlesburger, Pickett & Trubisky were always afforded the luxury of knowing they were starting games, 7 days out. Btw, Rudolph should not be on a short leash whatsoever...the other Three certainly weren't. Let this Bottle-Rocket really show what he's got! No holds barred. 💪

Tomlin is out of touch. The Steelers should’ve never signed Trubisky after Ben retired. We should’ve started Mason and gave him his shot. From there if you drafted Kenny he should’ve been prepared to watch and learn the position. The sad truth is that the best Q B on the team never got an opportunity to show his worth and that is a direct reflection of the head coach. No one wants to hold Tomlin accountable.

In my opinion it goes back to big Ben not willing to pass the mantel so to speak for whatever his reasons were but gotta give alot of credit to Mason Rudolph for continuing to work and improve on the things he needed. Also unlike Kenny who said he didn't learned a thing while being on the sidelines i believe Mason did learned from Ben from atleast the sidelines just by the way Mason attacked what the Bengals defense were giving him,He looked like a veteran qb out there and hopefully it helps him to be better prepared against a tougher opponent in Seattle.

@lindaangus2307 Ben was willing to help Dwayne Haskins when he was on the team and that wasn't his job either.Ben flat out wasn't happy with the organization when Mason was drafted so more than likely he wasn't willing to help Mason with his progression in the NFL and that's fine but at the end of the day this is a team sport and what I seen from this team they are willing to teach the other young players what it takes to be in the NFL and Mason confirmed it when asked about the qb group.

my theory is that Mason did call myles some racial shit. and i dont give a fuck about that. its said every game. but i think tha put mason in tomlins dog house. and refused to ever let mason start agai or release him so he can start and make millions elsewhere. i think tomling wanted mason to sit as a thid stringer for ther est f his career for 200k. Thats just my personal belief about th ematters at hand. he only started mason out of desperation and coach T's shitty record of not having a losing season was about to end. Well guess what if 8-8 idny losing then it isnt winning either. its the dewfinition of mediocrity, middle of the pack. 16 years of mediocrity with a few years of double digit wins thrown in every once and a while and maybe 3 playoff wins since all of cowers players slowly retired. i dont know how tomlin couldnt make a single superbowl having that killer Beee crew and defense and op line. ive never seen a coach do les with more than coach T. the guy plays new england every year at least once , sometimes twice and beat them only two fucking times in 16 fucking years and tom brady wasnt even starting, for fucks sakes they were 2-10 and just lost a game 0-3 and tomlin STILL LOSES. coach T still makes horrible coaching decisoins he should have fixed a decade ago, and wonnders wwhy he annually loses 2 or 3 trap games that kick us out of the playoff run. he cannot get the best out of his playerds. all the great players he has had were because of their own drive and dertminatioin to be great not because they were motivated or coached up to be great by mike.
