To be fair, nowadays AI can spoof a voice, never mind 200 years into the future. But it would ruin the game pacing if they made you wait for weeks while STG tested it for authenticity

@@IrishWarrior00 A small change to Shepard's mission would've solved that. "Track down and observe Saren, but wait for the council's ruling before taking action." Then the mid-game story could've played off of the ambiguity of whether the council is actually exercising due diligence or just delaying Shepard to protect Saren. Expanding on that -- everything plays out the same until the Normandy is grounded, at which point the council could either reject the evidence or detain Shepard for his insubordination (attacking Saren on Virmire), based on paragon/renegade alignment. The endgame then plays out the same way. The council is humbled from being blindsided, and commends/begrudgingly thanks Shepard for his initiative.

My favorite ME meme was a romance tier list from a bunch of years ago. Ashley was F tier of course, but Kaiden wasn't on it at all. Top comment on the post was asking where Kaiden was and the reply was a matter of fact, dead-pan "Kaiden dies on Virmire."

Which is a real pity, cuz Kaiden has one of the best romances if he is your LI in ME3. Easily up there with Garrus on how legitlly tear inducing it is going into the battle for Earth.

Yup, ditto on all this. His and Mata's Halo streams have the same issue. Halo CE's music was really quiet on Bricky's stream. I switch to Mata's and hers sounded fine. The Halo 2 stream seemed to be the same. I wanna up the volume cuz they mention the music being good here, then an odd pops and a sound bomb goes off cuz it's so much louder than the stream was

I miss ME1. It has a lot i wish it iterated on differently than it did in ME2 and 3. 1 definitely has that proof-of-concept (or whatever the terms r that is used to describe what Assassin Creed 1 & Borderlands 1 are to their series) that somewhat bare-bones game. Text is tough to communicate this. My point kinda is i wish for a ME1 but with iterations, evolutions. PS The Mako was silly fun.

You all shitting on and making fun of the graphics of ME1 based on modern graphic engines and how nice graphics are in 2024. People have to understand that this was UnReal engine 3 which was written in the ancient C++ coding and at the time was less than 9 years old and nothing graphics wise was better, so when ME1 came out the graphics were great and beautiful because nothing had been seen like it before in it's genre. So yeah, at the time it was great, today they look bad. We have to look at it in context rather than just saying graphics are shitty and look bad, especially young people who never played it when the game came out. It didn't help that Bioware added graphic assets that pushed the envelope of what UR3 was capable of, thus some of glitches we see in game

Ashley ain't that bad. If you romance her in the first game but then change to Tali, she's actually fine with it, calling Tali something like her little sister. Consiedring how much she values family, I'd say that shows she either changed her mind, like Navigator Presley, or she wasn't so bad from the start. Still, I pick Tali over her every time, when playing male Shepard. 'cause she's Best Girl in all trilogy.
