Actually Wrex is older tha 900. He was alive during the Krogan rebellion 700-800 CE, because he says himself "right after the war (the rebellions)" he was forced to kill his father and leave Tuchunka. So really quick let's put this into perspective, the year of ME3 is 2186 CE, this knowledge already puts him at least between 1386-1486 years old, older than any asari by far.

Actually, it's more of a way for one krogan male to express his dominance over another-- basically saying 'My quad is bigger than yours is, so shut up/back off!' Examples-- in Mass Effect 3, during Priority: Tuchanka, Wrex headbutts Wreav when the latter is asking why they should trust Mordin, (responding that Wreav should trust Mordin because Wrex does-- Wreav was questioning Wrex's authority as clan leader in questioning Mordin's presence, thus Wrex was reminding Wreav of his place), and in Mass Effect 2, if the player takes the Renegade interrupt, *Shepard* can headbutt Gatatog Uvenk to shut him up when he starts trash talking Grunt (ironically, the interrupt comes right after Uvenk starts with 'Aliens don't know strength!')-- this leads the krogan shaman (who is present to see all this) to laugh and say 'I like this human! S/he understands!' Shepard was asserting his/her dominance over Uvenk by telling him to shut the f**k up! about Grunt. Basically, in krogan society, its a way of stating who is the bigger badass and asserting the claim-- hence why Grunt and Wrex are doing it to each other here (each one thinks he's the strongest, so they're trying to impress it on the other; although admittedly, its more good natured here than in the other examples). Oh, and IMHO, its Wrex for the win; he's implied to be over a millennia old, so he has more experience, AND he's a biotic, which Grunt, for all his strength, is not.

It really depends on how the fight goes down. If they're both unarmed, and Wrex can't use biotics, then Grunt has the advantage. If Wrex can use biotics, he would probably win, but only through the use of biotics. Grunt is definitely physically stronger, pound for pound.

So just by reaction Grunt lost the raw "BANG" aspect of this contest, as wrex nearly knocked him to the floor. This makes sense, not only is wrex much older, but given that grunt is maybe a few years old tops, and a near mature krogan, a race that is said to live 1000+ years, being made to be the best krogan still takes the time to mature and fight your way to that point. Grunt may be genetically stronger but he hasn't had the years and fights to unleash that potential just yet.

Grunt is technically the strongest brogan when it comes to raw physical aptitude, but Wrex is the most powerful biotic of his species and arguably the most skilled in combat, so he'd win. Canonically, him, Jack, Samara and Javik are Shepard's strongest mates.

I'd just like to point out that if you do the math, Wrex is over a thousand years old (active on the tail end of, or soon after, the rebellions). Being imprinted with mass amounts of knowledge doesn't make up for a millenium of down-in-the-trenches combat experience, and whether or not Grunt is younger, Wrex is still perfectly healthy, so that's not really a handicap either.

Wrex has years of real world experience and the advantage of being at the top of the social structure, Grunt has the advantage of being tank bred and given proper nutrition that Wrex may have lacked in his early years and being genetically engineered to tend towards the stronger side of the krogan build. it's a good question.

Grunt is the Caption America of Krogen he's faster, stronger and heals faster then Wrex and has memories from Krogen warlords but Wrex is AT LEAST 800 years, may be a better fighter and is biotic soooooo ya no clue they would probably leveled that apartment if they had fought.

Agree, it's really what's the person enjoy personally, alot of characters have different personality which is one of the reasons why alot of people enjoy Mass Effect cause aleast you care about the characters, to me it's comes down to Jack, Garrus, Wrex, & Mordin, and I understand why you went with Mordin cause almost every character has a badass in their own way.

Very true, but the thing is that Mass Effect has many characters that are arguably the best character of the series. Certainly Shepard, but I know many people who would argue a case for Garrus, Tali, Mordin, Legion, Liara, and even Javik and Jack. For me personally it comes down to Mordin, Legion, & Wrex, and I think Mordin takes it by a hair. But if someone were to name any of those guys, I'd say they made a good choice.

Grunt is tougher. He can get shot with a pistol in a cutscene, and survive.

Krogan have super regeneration, look at ME1 Wrex, the fool can take on an army and not die.

elock1277 If you don't talk him down on Virmire in ME1, Ashley shoots him in the back, and he dies on the spot. If you sabotage the Genophage cure in ME3, he tries to kill you but is shot and killed with a pistol. I was just poking fun at how the games are inconsistent when it comes to characters having some specific powers that would normally prevent them from dying that easily, yet they can get killed with a single shot from the weakest pistol in cutscenes. Grunt, on the other hand, can get shot in the gut by Shepard mutliple times in ME2 to force him to stand down, and he will barely feel it.

@@NoelistAvenger Cutscenes doesn't count. To put down a krogan you need to make a lot of damage in every primary and secondary (and sometimes terciary) organ or use bombs.
