Anderson has always been Shepherd's pillar. He's always had your back, always been at your side and always willing to sacrifice everything for you. Oh Absolutely. There are a lot of memorable moments in Mass Effect but I always thought of this one in particular. It's just so somber yet beautiful. Warriors and leaders exhausted and beaten yet fulfilled their objective after such an arduous fight finally taking a well earned rest while witnessing the view of Earth coupled with the soundtrack. Just so beautiful.

Probably the only knock against it is the quietness between the terrible pained grunts in the beginning of their conversation. **silence** **oof ow eek** "best seats in the house" **silence** It's also in the BroShep version, too. So it's not a knock on Hale. Just the scene direction.

I like to think my Shep felt whole and consoled when Anderson told her he was proud and she did good. That was the moment she could finally lay down all the pains and grieves she had to endure. @allhandsondik78032 жыл бұрын
I think that's also the tone they set, here and with Mordin and Grunt (before you see its a fakeout) its more of sacrifice or final goodbye, with Virmire it was a balls to the walls, no time to think decision making where you're left reeling after the fact. Plus as much as I love Kaiden and enjoy Ash, ME1 isn't their best showing of personality. Even the music, "Proud of You" and "The Cure" are triumphant/tragic and packed with emotion, Virmires mission soundtrack is more tense and action packed.

because although I enjoyed what they talked about in the extended dialog, for me it took away Anderson's feeling of being a Father Figure, when he talked about never having children. My feeling was that Anderson had a family in the Normandy and its crew. Actually more than family, if you understand the bonds between soldiers coming home from war. The shorter version felt more focused to me. I felt the shorter version had the father saying what needed to be said, before he passed away.
