I'm not the first to point this out, but it's cool how the Illusive Man's death parallels Saren's fate in ME1. Both had their goals and ambitions exploited by the Reapers, ultimately being able to break free thanks to Shepard's influence even it means taking their own lives.

I made like 1 renegade choice in some small conversation so I didn't get that option. I liked how ME1 handed points.

do side quests and DLC and you should be able to max both meters, if you do both sides a balanced amount of times

Pause 13:34.... Anderson is dieing, maybe dead or alive, Shepard soon to follow, They have achieved their mission, opened the citadel, killed the Illusive man (AKA dumb ****) Anderson and Shepard have their "Father, Son" thing they watch the view... Hacket calls Shepard, as his last act to save the Galaxy Shepard has to initiate the Crucible to destroy the Reapers... Shepard Dies as he presses the final button... End credits.

You have to have your paragon bar up pretty high, that is not a lie. However the key to unlocking those two selections is by insisting to the Illusive Man that the Reapers are in the wrong during every confrontation you have. These red/blue choices are hidden in 'Investigate' dialogue choices and any other side questions/statements besides the main ones. If you didn't get it the first time through and desperately want those choices, you'll have to start a new game and try again, I'm afraid. : (

@@jigglypuff9196 From what I read, yes. I messed this up while playing through the Legendary Edition. I totally forgot about the hidden Paragon/Renegade option on Mars. My Paragon/reputation was maxed from missions and the DLC but the very last one was locked/greyed out for me. I believe there are 6 Paragon/Renegade options with IM before the final one throughout the game. You need to do all of them + have maxed out or nearly maxed out reputation to get them.

You need to talk to the Illusive Man on every encounter (Mars, Thessia, etc.) and use the Paragon remarks when you ask him why he interferes in those places (the left side of the conversation wheels).

I have a headcanon that the room Shepard is in right now is right under the Council chambers in the Citadel tower, i.e. right under the spot Saren kills himself.

I missed the Admiral Korris quest and the Cerberus Ciphers side quest. Is this why I hadn't the paragon/renegade conversation choises?

I think you have to pass all the previous morality checks in the other two conversations you have with the Illusive Man.
