Mandorle21 most of them are basically choices in which you kill someone before he kills you or someone else. For example, regarding the Asari from eclipse, if you pay attention to the game, they tell you that every single eclipse member has murdered someone, as it's a required thing to do to enter the gang. In fact, later in the game you find a recording In which she laughed about the volus she killed (which was the murder you were investigating) and not choosing the renegade option doesn't mean that you arrest her, but that you let her escape In other words, a LOT of renegade options appear when you face assassins or mercenaries that are willing to kill you, your squad, or civilians so I don't know what's all the fuzz about

I always go to recruit Garrus first (even the first time when I didn't know who Archangel was) because I went to Omega to follow Cerberus' suggestion to recruit Mordin and then realized that Archangel is in more imminent danger with gangs about to tear him apart. If you go in with Miranda (since I always only have Miranda and Jacob at this point), though I assume a different character will take this role if you come with a different squad later on, she suggests various things you can do to improve your odds of coming out on top when saving Archangel. Each of her suggestions corresponds with an action you can perform in the staging ground. First time I did it, I saw the renegade interrupt and drew the connection that the guy was repairing the vehicle and she'd said to sabotage any vehicles they might deploy. I took it, but I was sort of like "Oh wow, really?" because I thought he was just going to throw a wrench in the engine or something, not murder a Blue Sun. We have to keep in mind the Blue Suns aren't all murderers (like Eclipse, which requires members to perform a murder just to get in) and that this guy openly says in the preceding conversation he isn't a fighter, just a repairman for the Blue Suns - which aren't even that bloodthirsty in the first place as much of their crime is smuggling rather than killing. Effectively, yes this guy is a criminal, but only by being an accomplice. That's still bad, but murdering him outright over it? I have typically avoided using that interrupt ever since because it seems to harsh... and it makes a nice little narrative turn because I later have to pay for my bleeding heart with a deadlier aircraft in the final fight. It's one of the more interesting choices the game poses for you in my opinion. Can you bring yourself to outright kill a guy who simply does repairs for smugglers and is sort of shaking his head at how worked up his employers have gotten that they have to kill this Archangel dude... or will you have to pay the price of a much harder fight (and if we think about this from beyond game logic and in the real world, potentially losing and DYING)?
@KasumiRINA6 жыл бұрын
@@petersteiner6595 you should do a playthrough where you recruit Grunt first, he has unique dialogue with Blood Pack during Archangel mission (Zaeed has some with the Blue Suns). Then, taking either Grunt/Garrus, or better, both of them, gives the best dialogue possible for Mordin's recruitment. Grunt can be paired with someone else too, if you want to roleplay (I DON'T GET SICK!) but you miss out on Mordin and Garrus having an exchange on turians working with humans. In fact, most players miss out on best writing because Miranda and Jacob have the most boring, generic lines on Mordin's Dossier assignment.

I don't think its a bad game just different atmosphere wise. I usually played renegade first as that was the most fun and not being given the option here is disappointing. I mean they could have inserted a few harder options in places like Kadara or Elaaden where people are constantly cursing at you, you should be given the option to shut them up. I know Ryder is no Shepard in this regard but he/she is deadly and combat experienced so to have somebody say "Fuck off" and your reply is "OK" is just weak and Sam tells you not to talk to the mercenaries in Elaaden as he might be dangerous is also an anti climax to that situation. like I said its not a bad game just different, I was disappointed in my first play through but I am not doing a second play through and now that I know what the character is like also with the updates done since I am really enjoying the game.

There is a difference between being a battle-hardened soldier and a monotonous robot. I can understand keeping your cool and having a hard exterior on the battlefield, but you'd think that Male Shep could show just a little emotion during romance scenes instead of appearing uncaring towards his significant other. What you are saying also suggests that all the other soldiers in other games/movies that show as much emotion as Femshep are due to overacting, and I think that is not the case.
