I never got it. If you can kill a Reaper with a Cain on foot, or with a Thanix laser/rocket from a tank, why the hell does Mass Effect 3 even exist?

Basically the ME2 cain is more powerful than the ME3 cain because of additional ammo, Maximum is 215% after purchasing all heavy ammo capacity, The hue in ME2 last 4 seconds while in ME3 2 sceonds however the ME3 cain isn't less lethal in terms of power.

because that wasnt an actual reaper, it was the may i say "kind of reaper" as the other types of reapers were built to withstand more punishment, as you see in the space battle, where all the ships are firing the cannons at the reapers, they eventually destroy 1, but it takes ages.

No your right guy. it still makes no sense how it took the quarian fleet to destroy a destroyer reaper and one cain to destroy a destroyer. Cain would have no chance against a capital ship.

i see your point, and your right. it doesn't seem to make much sense, seeming as from my experiences with the Cain in ME2 , it isn't exactly enough firepower to eliminate any type of reaper to be honest. I don't see much logic in this, but still, if you fired it directly into its laser beam, it may have been possible, but shown here, he didn't, so im not too sure bro.

It seems to sacrifice movement and any kind of defense to become dedicated anti-air. It is stupid though, you're right, the red laser can shoot targets in space, the hades cannon cannot. I would say that it can only use one eapon at a time because of the fact its on a planet-weakens barriers the added mass weakens it further and i'm unsure, but shooting it as its firing would probably do the greatest damage. But priority earth was all crap man. Think its the worst mission of the series.
