grunt not there means he died back during the suicide mission at the end of me2. the queen you may have (if you didnt import from me1) is a reaper replacement of it. if u take the queen that has been modified by the reapers and save it, it will kill some of your Alliance war assets because they go rogue from the reapers

@TheTime67 Depends was it the original queen? If not the synthetic queen turns on you and destroys some war assets the real one helps with the crucible by sending workers she gives you 100 war asset points.

At 0:09 if you look closely you can see Rachni Queen in the subtitles, then it quickly switches to Krogan corpse.

No, a Keogan called Dagg is in that mission if you just play plain ME3. And he dies as soon as he gets hit in the back by that Rachni and then gets chewed to death. It is really a sad scene... )=

Depends on your choices in me1 and me2 if you let the rachni queen life its a refferance because its the same queen and if grunt lived in me2 he should be there depending on what you choose to do with the queen i think

Actually, the Breeder does that, which is the Queens replacement if you killed her in 1. The actual queen doesn't.

For starters, you need to be aware if you're saving the Rachni QUEEN, or the Rachni BREEDER. You get the Queen if you saved her in ME1. If you killed the Queen, you get the Breeder. The breeder turns on you, and you lose even more EMS. Now, if you save Arlath Company, you get 25 war assets. From a pure numbers game, it's better to save the Rachni Queen.

Ahk, cos I know Grunt can either live or die in this decision depending on if he was loyal in ME2, but I never seen what happens if you leave the rachni Queen and save Grunt / Aralakh company (partly due to my laziness to look on youtube lol)

I think it depends on whether you killed the rachni queen in ME1, or in the case of PS3 the interactive comic book. I don't think this is Xbox. The size of the subtitles and conversation wheel make me believe this was recorded on PC at 1080p. For some reason HUD elements don't scale to resolution.

If you dont import ME2 to ME3 Grunt was never awakened from his pod and Legion was never activated also Jack and Thane were killed in the Suicide in ME2 this is all by default without the imported save according to the ME3 strat guide

Grunt survived for me. He was loyal in ME2, so he did that fight, but came out afterwards

On my second playthrough of ME3 I chose to save the rachni queen instead of letting her die and it said I had the rachni AND Aralakh company as assets. So even though Grints squad dies, I guess you still get other Aralakh members for assets just FYI for anyone out there!!!

if you didn't have Grunt at this point for whatever reason the replacement leader of Aralakh Company does die in that fight. that's how much of a badass Grunt is

I reckon this decision should have had harsher consequences, like if you spared the Rachni Queen, Grunt would die holding off the Ravagers, while if you left the Rachni Queen, Grunt and Aralakh company will be mostly fine, with the Rachni Queen dying.

yup, make sure everyone is loyal and everything upgraded though, the suicide mission can stii fail 4 grunt, in 3 kill the queen or he dies.

In my playtrough grunt survived, I'm assuming you didn't have a loyal grunt in ME2....

If you saved queen in Mass Effect 1. Then save her again. If you killed her in Mass Effect 1. (Now its an artificial queen) Kill her Again. These are the highest assets for this decision.

Yes. the Rachni Queen is cloned in Mass Effect 3 by the Reapers. Still resistant to indoctrination for some reason, so the choice is still there to save her, gaining an asset or leaving the clone to die. The Grunt awesome scene is the same I believe with the clone. -Spoiler warning- - - The asset you gain from the rachni Clone Queen is temporary. She betrays you. You still lose the Krogan bonus though. So if you killed her the first time, just kill her again.

I agree, My imported Shepard from ME2 looked way better in ME2 than he did after importing him into ME3, there was no similarities at all which considering there isn't that much of a difference graphics wise between ME2 and ME3 like there is between ME and ME2 it makes you wonder what the point is to making a custom look in the first place.

The reaper rachni queen didn't cause a problem in my playthough... she just wasn't as effective at the normal rachni queen if you saved her in the 1st game.

not sure. my xbox harddrive failed almost as soon as i got ME3. i never got to play it with my imported characters so grunt wasn't there... and i still haven't been able to go back and redo my games from ME1 & ME2, but i picked to save the rachni queen with out having grunt and the guy died. died like on BAMF of a krogan but he still died.

EXTRA TIP: if you killed the queen and the first game and release her, the reaper rachni queen will backstabbing you. Only release her if you saved her in the first game

When I played this part of the game, for the first time, I saved the queen because I saved her in ME 1. However when I saw Grunt about to die I said "fuck that" ready to reload my game, but since I had his loyalty, Grunt survived.

if grunts loyal he survives, if not he dies. also if u killed da queen in me1 then the reapers make a synthetic one and if u save her she will eventually betray you and cost you a lot of war asset points

Ideally you save the rachni queen in ME1 make Grunt loyal in ME2 and then save the rachni queen here. That gives you the best outcome. If you did not save the rachni queen and breeder is there instead DO NOT save her, she betrays you and wipes out some of the engineering corps.

Cause its harder to make a good looking male Shepard than it is defeating the reapers. I tried for hours and never managed to make a male Shepard look better than not-hideous. I even went to the faces database and couldn't find a male Shepard that looked any better. The pre-made one is the only good looking maleShep that i have seen to date, and that includes all 3 ME games.
