Kolyat would be dead. It would be nice if there's a memorial on the Citadel to Thane's sacrifice at the Solarian Embassy, maybe a "Kolyat Krios Rehabilitation Program" showing that he's remembered in a good way. Remember, after being saved by the Commander & his father, Kolyat spent more time among the Priests of his religion, so him going to C-Sec isn't impossible but unlikely.

Grunt will probably be back though cause you can see a krogan in the back of the latest teaser with the Phantom N7 that has a Grunt-like silhouette.

There could be a version of Miranda alive in the next game. My theory is that Henry Lawson created more than two embryos to make his dynasty last basically forever. My take from reading the Shadow Broker report on Miranda in ME2 is that she's infertile. One way for her to experience motherhood is to activate one of the embryos and raise it as her own child. And that repeats itself with each successive generation. It's feasible, but the biggest hurdle could be getting Strahovski back for the role since she's a much bigger star now.

This will sound depraved; but I think it's likely. From what we hear of her father from Miranda; she wasn't the first. He kept making feminized clones of himself every time one reached puberty and proved infertile. Miranda's "twin sister" was the first one that wasn't infertile. Miranda tells us he's utterly self-obsessed and also obsessed with creating a dynasty - he could have done so by marrying ANYONE just like normal people and having children with his wife. I think the reason he wanted a fertile female clone of himself; was so that he could mate with himself and start his dynasty with an heir that was 100% his genes, unpolluted with anyone else's. (But with enhancements like Miranda's biotics.) But yes, with cloning tech anyone biological could return. Though it would be kind of a cheap ploy to bring people back and explain they are clones. Especially if they do it with Shepard.

I think it's more likely in Grunt's case that he is physically 22, but mentally 300 from the tank learning. Basically enough knowledge to be an effective warrior brain wise right out of the tank without the drawback of having to put his body on the line for all of that knowledge. I think it's a pretty safe bet that if ME5 takes place post Andromeda that Grunt is going to show up

I see many people on YT talk about Javik being the least memorable character in Mass Effect which is a blatant lie. How do I know? My brother, never played ME in his life, knows who Javik is. I loved the character, the least memorable is and forever will be Jacob. I almost forgot about him while typing this. I imagine they'd bring back Legion and EDI in a sense. As a 'Destroy Ending' man seeing it as Canon, people tell me I'm a dick for killing the geth and EDI as collateral, but logically they can be remade as long as the organics who made them are still around thus making the post game head canon that they were brought back.

I think I remember someone figuring out that no matter what, there are 3 companions who cannot be killed as a result of your actions in the games: Liara, James and EDI. Everyone else either can or does die. I think that makes those three the most likely returning companions. Maybe throw in Javik as well. Then you have a good balance of genders/races/classes. Two females in Liara and EDI, two males in James and Javik. Each a different race, and each a different class. That's just squadmates though, I'm sure there would be returning side-characters as well like Joker, Aria, Chakwas, Conrad, etc. According to the video of the Mass Relay being constructed, that was released on N7 day 2022, the date at the bottom of the video says 11/7/90, now, I'm assuming that's 2190, which would put it 4 years after the events of ME3. I think that's pretty good for a timeline. They could set things 4 years later and then all of our favourite characters would still be alive, and then maybe they use that Mass Relay to time-jump.

If you don't help Liara in any of the games and your EMS is low(I believe it's got to be the lowest it can be.) If she is a companion with you for the run, she is hit with a reaper beam and killed. - Okay, I guess this isn't due directly to your actions, more of a cause.

I get scared more and more everytime there's new art and quarians are either absent or dead, as they are my favorite ME race. Considering how much there seems to be inconflict at BioWare over quarians [There was an interview with Tali's writer, Patrick Weekes, iirc he had to fight to keep Tali on as a companion in ME3. And killing the quarians appears almost as a Paragon choice during the Rannoch mission in ME3. And the quarians being left as canceled DLC for Andromeda that ended up as a book where the quarian ark had mostly died to some virus iirc.] I'm getting worried that the quarians will just be canonized as extinct in ME4/5.

In ME 2, Shepherd is genetically manipulated to bring them back to life, which could pose an interesting idea. No telling what happened at the end of ME 3 also. Definitely makes me eager to see what the devs have in mind by showing Liara finding the N7 piece, if she's looking for traces of Sheperd, or something/someone else.

As the Destroy ending seems to the one that BioWare is going for as the canon one, we need to look at many possibilities. For one, all the mass relays were destroyed in this ending and, depending on how long it takes to repair them, it could affect gameplay (though I think they'll probably set the game AFTER the repairs are finished tbh). Another thing is that EDI, Legion, and the Geth were all destroyed in this ending. Realistically, they could somehow be brought back (though that's as far as I got without thinking up any valid reasons). Perhaps some of their CPU's miraculously survived or something. Other bits of tech that the people in the Mily Way rely on would have been destroyed or at least damaged. This could refer to the ship's drive cores, omni-tools etc. Also, if we're talking life spans, then Liara, Wrex and Grunt would definitely be around.

Wrex said he was "past" 700. Given context about the Genophage, he could be around 1300-1500, if you intrepret that he was around for the late Krogan Rebellions. (I think he is about 1500 and born right on the tale end of the Rebellions and can vaguely remember a time before the Genophage - or the stories from the females and the Shamans.) Since he mentioned Okeer, my intrepretation is that Okeer is much older than Wrex and Wrex being 1500. Take that for what you will.

For some reason it comes to my mind line from the end of ME3: "What about Shepard?" "Okay, one more story.." To be honest? What if we will have Shepard handing the torch to new protagonist as they were teaching them or something, and Shepard becomes someone like Hackett? Like they guide new protagonist like Hackett and Anderson were doing it with Shepard. We could have old companions come back to help us in a similiar way - maybe we will see their children and this is how the old crew is passing torch to new. Maybe what we have with Dark Matter... it will be a thing towards the end, setting up - let's say journey to Andromeda. Sort of a smooth transition.

This would be kind of neat. And from the rumors that they are making "Destroy" the cannon ending (which pretty much fits their theme of assuming worst-case scenario in every decision of previous games if you haven't played them. But I still think it sucks because IMHO story-wise they seem to favor the Paragon choices during play. Which would make Synthesis the appropriate ending. It's really the only choice that doesn't stab Legion and EDI in the back for being loyal to us, and ruins the WIN in talking the Quarians and Geth into cooperation. And IMHO the Reapers were never the real enemy; they are unknowingly enslaved to the Citadel AI and just following the programming it gave them - there doesn't seem to be a good reason to not be able to tap into possibly millions of years of other species knowledge.)

The ME2 marketing info on Grunt is definitely obsolete. He was grown in a tank until Shepard released him; he wasn't a merc, and he wasn't on Tuchanka. His name wasn't even Grunt, until he picked it. Seems that was a an unused concept for the character; so 22 would be more likely.

Honestly, BioWare has an awful track record with characters of Color... especially Black ones. Jacob, Liam, Sloan, Ashley(?); all very unpopular. Vivienne is polarizing (though I, personally, like her as a character). Javik is the only character that is widely enjoyed and, despite clearly being African-inspired, doesn't actually get to be Black. EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot Anderson. Okay, there's one. Having trouble thinking of any others....

My head cannon is: BioWare is still in pre-production for ME5. They have an idea of where they want the story to go, but they don't want to fudge it up like last time, so they are releasing "teases" of their half-baked ideas to see how the fans respond to them. Depending on our reactions, they will either continue to develop those threads or they will drop them. Hell, it would not surprise me if they are listening into our discourses and steal our ideas. After all, the fanbase is like the geth. We are a million voices that come to a consensus, haha. I think it's hilarious Michael Gamble responded to your tweet. I think we can safely say Conrad Veerner is returning!! hahaha that's really awesome for you!

Next game will be a time-bending sci-fi mystery thriller; taking place across boh timelines, with players controling Shepard after the events of the OG trilogy, and also playing as Ryder in the future timeline. I'm thinking specifically something like Spider-man: Edge of Time; where the 2 timelines are somehow intertwined and you go back and forth between them; trying to discover the cause of the temporal anomaly and prevent some mass extinction, because of course. Would be a very Star Trek kinda plot.

The 2 dates given in the N7 teasers are a few years after ME:3, and when the initiative arrives. I think our intro of the game will be post ME:3, but the majority of the game will leap forward to when the initiatives distress beacon is received. I think the Geth crater image is from just post ME:3, where Liara is using the mudskipper to search for Shepard. That explains why wrex is there, that explains Liara finding the N7 armour. She isn’t casually climbing up dead frozen reapers for the fun of it, she’s clearly searching for something. In the post ME:3 audio, we hear Liara talking to a Geth. Jump forward to receiving the Andromeda’s distress signal, we see clearly that Liara has an Angara with her so contact and travel are clearly sorted out, probably using upgraded Mass Relays like the Geth we’re using for the telescope, and she still has a Geth companion, maybe even the same one. It’s clear we have a time jump in the game, not time travel.

In my opinion, ME5 should definitely start with Shepard about 10 years after the destruction of the Reapers, then they should do what Ubisoft did with Ezio in Assassin's Creed, a peaceful death accompanied by his family. This way they can introduce a new main character without alienating the fans and start a new saga that culminates in the Andromeda Initiative being revealed. As a new main antagonist, I would say that Leviathan or perhaps the Yagh are the biggest threat to the "new galaxy". But that's just my opinion and more wishful thinking.

Shepard is alive and will return due to the Lazarus project and the cybernetics inside of him which clearly can extend his life, as for the crew, I'm not surprised if they all return and their life's have been extended by the geth choosing to sync with them to improve their life's span, just like when you save Tali's planet and the Geths simultaneously. Some of your views I agree with and some I don't. The crew I believe all will be alive when Shepard took that breath after the destruction.

My personal theory on the geth from the bar is that if it is Liara and a “geth bodyguard” it could be Glyph put into a geth body as a way to give it physical capabilities. I know geth heads are already bright flashlight heads lol but something about the color of the light makes my mind immediately go to Glyph.

I find it hard to believe many of Shepard's human companions are in their 20s they look and sound older like in their 30s personally. There's a lot of NPC characters from the trilogy i like to see return as well that Kala mentioned also admiral Xen.

I think they will go with something about the parallel realities with different outcomes. They can say when the crucible fired in many different parallel realities the quantum energy broke through the membranes of all the universes. That is why they say they are detecting anomalies across space. That way everyone's choices did happen. They can go into different wormholes into these other realities and see how things played out there and could be a way to explain how they bring Shepard back

Except not every ending can be canonical as some of them directly contradict each other; For example, you can't do both Destroy and Control since they kind of nullify each other. (Especially if you do Perfect Destroy.) Likewise, doing both Control and Synthesis gets extremely murky, and do I even need to say anything about Refuse?

Interesting... On the wormhole possibility, there is a theory that rotating (Kerr) black holes could allow an Einstein-Rosen bridge to form, and in the Andromeda game, one exists. In the Pfeiffer cluster, on the top left of the screen is a black hole, and the info says -- Class: Kerr black hole, "H-012 Ketos"

I like James to return. I completely changed my opinion of James after watching his hour and a half anime Mass Effect Paragon Lost. One KZbinr described him as having a heart of gold. It does seem odd that Conrad aged so much in such a short time. It might suggest he is posing as a human or be from another reality. Could he be a Q? (A TNG reference). I think soon after Mass Effect3, but that new relay could be hooked up with a wormhole to allow the Andromeda galaxy to be linked with the original timeline. The cryostasis pods from Andromeda could allow for healing of Shepard and allow him/her to return in retirement raising a family and advising future N7s

We know some characters will return for sure. I vote for my big boy Wrex, my big boy Grunt and Liara. And I hope we will have some cameos/stories/holograms/voice clips from other characters. As for Shep... Well, I don't want them to bring him/her back. I mean, I want him alive as a legend. Krogans naming their kids Shepard or calling "Shepard" their heoroes, like Wrex said. Or through orher characters from trilogy, not as some plot device. ME1 to ME3 was Shep story and I want to stay it that way. I rather miss Shep, not beeing tired of him/her or feel like them just brought Shepard back, because reasons. ME is brilliant universe, so there is plenty of stories and characters. Also, I really, really hope they will include Andromeda somehow. I have a feeling we will see a lot of it in new ME and main story might have something to do with that, but it's just my guess.

The citadel council died in mass effect 3 while Shepard was valiently taking their time storming chronos station along with all people on the citadel, especially after the citadel and crucible self destructed in all the rgb endings.

One thing that you forgot about, it seems, there is no telling how long Shepard could live, after they were brought back by Cerberus with Reaper technology. They could very well be immortal or live for thousands of years.

For example, I think it's in their best interest to canonize an ending. However, I'm not sure how I feel about them canonizing which characters lived/died.

I think it would be cool to play in the time line of the first and second game as a completely new protagonist preferably getting to choose from a specie's and maybe playing outside of the military maybe even a small time criminal building up and maybe even being all in the background of places Shepard and crew were. How funny would a cut scene be where you see Shepard and crew walking in the background. Or working as a contact for the shadow broker

Zeid's son is in Andromeda. That guy that call pc 'little duck'. The head plate on the krogan wearing Wrex's armor is grey like Grunt while Wrex's head plate is red. Could be Wrex's kid. I actually think Shiara could be the benefactor; she would be very wealthy. I think it will be a large leap forward unless we are planning on spending the entire game on a cleaning spree because it would take years for Earth to be cleaned up.

If you ask me I think the tidbits regarding Andromeda are there to keep fans on their toes and guessing until the final release, and I personally would prefer that to be the case with the new game taking place at most just a couple decades after 3. Not saying that due to any bad feelings regarding Andromeda and I do believe that story has a ton of potential, but to tease at the original trilogy so much just to set the game so far into the future that they are hardly relevant would feel like a slap in the face personally.

I desperately want some form of tribute to Andromeda and a new protagonist. I just… I want the trilogy to have closure and end. Shepard deserves to rest. They went through so much. Just give me a line of dialogue that Shepard lived happily ever after with their romance choice. Give me that and then some closure for Ryder cuz I adored Ryder and I’m pretty go with anything after that.

I would like to see Traynor come back as the alliance voice over the comms system like Admiral Hackett was in Mass Effect 1. I just hope if we’re gonna move past all of our crewmates that they give them a very good sendoff. If They kill off Shepherd that’s fine but it better be like a galactic wide funeral for them even if it’s a flashback. Rex being emperor of Tuchanka . Joker becoming the flight instructor for the alliance. Edi joining the alliance and maybe even becoming a N7 like her mentor maybe (explains that slick N7 outfit this past year N7 day ) but at the end of this, they just need to do right by them and not like Oo those are people in the past and just leave us all hanging like they did in Andromeda

Traynor was a great character who was highly intelligent and without her assistance, at some points, things could have gone very badly. I'm sure she could play an important role in ME5 if it's in her timeline. I think, because she was only in the 3rd game and only romancable with Femshep she gets overlooked. I'd be happy to see her again.

I would love to see a genesis comic at the start to go through the trilogy before hand. Maybe as an unlockable achievement after a first play through. I definitely need to see aria. My favourite play through dlc and squad mate.
