I think this is the best romance in the game. The dialogue is so natural between the two, The writing isn't inorganic trite like the other romances conversations. I like the reasoning behind Reyes lying to you, because you looked at him without bias. It was sort of beautiful really. This was the only romance that seems genuine to me

I really enjoyed this romance because it feels so human. There aren't any grand gestures and stupid heart drawing jumps involved. It's sweet and it feels genuine from the get go. A lot of people think he's a terrible option because he lies to you and uses you. Well, so does Liam. And him asking you to come to Aya and then make you spy and risk a political incident without your knowledge is a real dick move. With Reyes you 1. Take out a murderous group of supremacist aliens (benefits him somewhat because it clears the charlatan's name but benefits the initiative equally) 2. Asks you to help him retrieve some stolen cargo against payment (no official involvement of the charlatan, not really his fault you didn't get paid) 3. Stealing Sloane's booze: tbh he didn't actually need you as a distraction. He may have been after something other than the bottle initially but he chose to make that moment about Ryder anyways. 4. He didn't ask you to come to his meeting with Sloane, she did. In fact, he's nowhere to be found from the moment you read Sloane's mail. So I can't really say that he's playing you for his gains. When you talk to Keema during the party and express doubt that Reyes actually likes you, she tells you that he can't shut up about you and that he seems genuinely fond of you. If you talk to her after high noon she tells you that she encouraged him to tell you the truth about the charlatan for a while but that he was afraid of your reaction. She calls him fretting "adorable". "He's a terrible person for beating up Kaetus and luring Sloane into an ambush". Well, yeah, kind off. However, first of all, we're talking about dealing with people that routinely put their enemies heads on spikes and that exile people into almost certain death if they can't pay their protection fees. Well, you live by the sword, you die by the sword and all that. Ryder makes some pretty questionable decisions along the way as well. Sometimes there just aren't any good options.

I remember what Cassian Andor (who killed man at the beggining of the film. shooting in his back) sayed to Jyn: 'We've all done terrible things on behalf of the Rebellion. Spies, saboteurs, assassins. Everything I did, I did for the Rebellion. And every time I walked away from something I wanted to forget. I told myself it was for a cause that I believed in. A cause that was worth it' (c) Rouge One Everyone forgets that it was the Sloan who used YOU and called to meet with a Charlatan (where you shouldn't have been). In this situation YOU are puppet only for one person - for Sloan. She was invited personally (not with you). She cheated as like as Charlatan. Sloan called you, he called a sniper. It's war. You can use any methods. Besides remember how sniper killed this woman on Nexus (who hacked Sam). I didn't romanced Reyers and don't understand why he had to trust and tell something to a person whom he had recently met a couple days/weeks ago. He helped me. I helped him. It's his hidden war and with such crazy bich like Sloan you can't play in another way. She hate Initiative and their methods but she did the same shit. And if the Initiative simply exiled people, Sloan has more cruel methods. And if I had not saved Sloan from a sniper and she had shot Reyers herself, would she allowed outpost then? If even after I saved her she allowed it on her own terms that are not favorable to us. Sloan is a murderer, Reyers - criminal element. For me better criminal empire than anarchy.

What's so funny about Reyes Vidal is that Reyes is my last name and Vidal is my mom's maiden name. I wonder how did BioWare came with the character's name because Reyes is my father's last name from Honduras and my maternal grandfather from Puerto Rico came into, I guess when he joined the army and the army screwed up his name that they thought his paternal last name is his middle name and hence why my grandfather's name is Eduard Millán Vidal but goes by Eddie Vidal. Millán is his paternal but they made it into his middle name and another reason why he chose to use his maternal name Vidal instead of Millán is that he had issues with his own father in Puerto Rico growing up. But can't believe the name Reyes Vidal is my family's name.

I know probably no one will answer this, but right about when they sit on the roof which song is played in the background? Unfortunately in this video you can’t really hear much of it but if you wait a moment while you’re playing this scene, I think it’s the most beautiful sequence in the whole game - even if they don’t say anything and the music just goes on with Kadara port in the background
