Fun thing is it doesn't matter who you side with, someone shows up. As long as you have the colony, you get support. But another fun thing is it doesn't matter how much or how little support you have, the only difference is in the types of ground troops you encounter. For instance in this video Raeka survived, which is why they had to fight Behemoths. But if you side with Captain Hayjer, everything still plays out the same cinematically but there are no Behemoths to fight.

Yeah then disappears in the end game. Then there's this whole thing about finding your father's memories and logs and that your mother is still alive and on the ark only to have it go fucking no where. Like TF? You'd think they'd tie in some piece about finding a cure at least. You don't even get to bust the news to everyone about the reaper attack. And you never find out who this benefactor is. I thought it might have been Liara from the original trilogy because she became the shadow broker but that doesn't explain why the founder got murdered.

You know people love to hate on this game, but I got it late, after all the bugs were fixed. Honestly, I loved it. I would much prefer a continuation of ME:A than a trilogy redux. The combat was freaking awesome, the game was huge. Playing on PC is best due to mods.

Well they are making another mass effect game, so atleast you have something to look forward to! I know I am definitely excited and I literally just finished the game. I held it off for so long because I remember hearing soooo much bad shit about it, that it almost felt not worth buying or playing in general, but I ended up played mass effect 1-3 and it created an urge to atleast see it through, I'm back and forth but mainly see the positives as more reasons to give it another go rather than pass it up. I actually enjoyed it, but nowhere near as much as the original trilogy. But like I said, we will be getting another mass effect game and it's going to be set during the time period of shepherd and the original crew. So I'm keeping my hopes up for an epic return! They better do us right by this next game. I know mass effect andromeda was fun and beautiful in many ways, but it also showed me just how much I miss the feel of the previous games. I want that plus the feelings I got while exploring the andromeda system. This next game needs to be on a whole other level, but keep the same feel. We deserve that with this magnitude of a game. Also more exploration. Like a lot more involvement and what not. Maybe some space flying or whatever. Just more. This series has the potential to be soooooo much greater. We should see it.

@@Dread3781 But the thing is- those characters had time to grow. Wrex and Garrus are both fun in ME1, but it was the sequels that cemented them (at least to me) as phenomenal. I don't think Andromeda's characters were any worse than those in ME1, and I really wish sequels were made about Andromeda. There's just so much we don't know about that story, and I'd love to get some answers.

It's just like the ME2 suicide mission (which is good), aslong as you are a completionist and aren't an idiot giving orders to your squadmates during the mission, you will always survive...but the different endings based on previous choices is the best way to do it. MEA out did ME3 in this single aspect lol.

Then again, the only reason the Kett are able to be what they are is because of some serum they inject in their ass and captivate unwilling creatures. Without Ryder, the Archon would be scratching his balls (if he had any) for a very long time since he didn't have an AI that would help him to get into Remnant sites.

Kett capital ships still use missiles which are woefully outdated in the Mass Effect universe. One alliance dreadnaught or even a cruiser could have solo'd the end to this game.

@@MilitaryHistory2011 not necessarily. One of the things that makes the thanix cannon is the fact that it is projecting very small mass into extreme speeds. It uses a lot of energy which is where the barriers come into play. The barriers are only good for small materials. Anything bigger would rely on armor. The shields that do protect against larger items are Biotic in nature and require FAR more energy to sustain, which is why most races need machines to amplify their biotic to create one, or just have an Asari. They take too much power to justify integration with the normal ship. Depending on the missiles, it actually could be the weakness to the Milky Way Armada. Especially with their seemingly infinite resources to create cannon fodder and ships. The Kett ships also have a lot of natural armor, as seen by their resistance to Milky Way tech, which was developed after Soveriegn's attack on the Citadel. That shows that with even the advanced weaponry developed by the Reaper tech, depending on the true scope of the Kett's power, the Milky way could lose the battle. Especially when you consider the default ending of 3 is Destroy, meaning no super powerful actual Reaper tech from the Dominate or Synthesis endings means they would have, most likely, roughly equal tech coming over from the Milky Way. Everything we know considered, there is no guarantee that the Milky Way could survive an all out war with the Kett.

@@MilitaryHistory2011 Isn't this pretty much established in lore? The Codex mentions how the Kett warships are inferior to Alliance warships when it comes to FTL technology. It should be no surprise that their mass accelerator weaponry on their ships is shit too, compared to milky way warships. The only thing Kett have an advantage is gene therapy and biological advancements.

Even then one of them could be changed which was if you recommended Anderson or Udina to be the Human Councilor when Miranda ask the question. The only thing that changes is if you saved the council or not or if Wrex was killed or you persuaded him to let the cure go. If Wrex is dead his half brother Wrev is the leader of clan Urdnot which he is hell bent on getting revenge on the Turians and Salarians and the galaxy, the council being the old or the new one is the new ones won't even speak to you out of fear you will kill them or something , the old only give you your Spectre status back out of respect but don't like you working with Cerberus. But the biggest difference is how some NPCs look at Shepard if you saved the council they for the most part see you as a hero, if you let them die they believe you let them die to strengthen humanities standing and created a human dominated council and see you as a brute as a result of your actions. But the choices from Mass Effect 1 weight the most in the third game where having Wrev in charge of the Krogan makes curing the genophage a very bad idea and makes the betrayal a better option, which isn't a good idea with Wrex because he will discover the betrayal and attempt to kill Shepard. But just like the first Mass Effect many of Andromeda's decisions will have more weight in any sequel that they put out, some of them have minor impacts on the end such as who is the Asari Pathfinder or who is the Salarian one, if you saved Raeka for instance you see exhalted Krogan from time to time in random encounters which those things scare the shit out of me.

Lvl58DeathKnight I’m not gonna defend ME1. The game was clunky, the combat was a mess and the Mako controls were just awful. But despite all that, and the considerably lower budget than they had to work with as they weren’t under EA back then, they still managed to produce a memorable story arc, a brilliant villain in Saren and SOME Squad mates who made you feel something (Wrex, Ashley negatively and Garrus) Plus the game was quite memorable for me, pretty much remembered every character and main mission from ME1 and there was a five year gap between when I bought ME1 and 2. It took me about a year and a half to forget everything about ME1 aside from Ryder, Peebee and Cora or whatever her name is. Although it was unfortunate, as Andromeda suffered from a rocky developmental cycle and being pushed to one side so the original studio could focus on Anthem. Plus, EA decided to focus less on the story and RPG elements and more towards combat and an UNNEEDED multiplayer mode. If I’m honest, there were positives with Andromeda, they just needed more time to develop the game, so hopefully EA give Bioware another chance and release a sequel, but they can’t repeat the same mistakes they made with Andromeda, but they most likely will.

Taco look at ME1, we were this successful against the Geth, Saren and Sovereign in the first game, we basically bent Saren over in the first hour of the game and showed him that his idea was already at fault. Now, we barely even seen a Kett force in this apparently, so this could turn into a situation worse than ME2 and ME3 just off that fact alone, its what, probably not even a million people. At most out of them 200,000 soldiers, with that we probably saw a few hundered thousand Kett and they’ve learned to Exalt Krogan and will probably learn how to exalt Salarians, Asari, Quarians and Humans in the next game, its virtually free reinforcements if anyone surrenders.

Kalone M what you must understand is that the Kett we see in Heleus is just a fraction of their empire and they nearly defeated us! Archon is one of many and his only focus was the Remnant. With Primus in charge they'll probably turn their focus on exaltation again. The trilogy is fantastic and I doubt anything will beat it, but I must say that they did an amazing job with this, though certain things could still be improved.

The Kett have an empire. The Andromeda Initiative has 100,000 people tops and only a fraction of those are military. They have almost combat capable ships and barely any resources. The Milky Way races are heavily dependent on the Angara to actually act as the resisting army because all the AI has is strike teams and security ops. If the Kett came in force both the Angara and the Milky Way races would be doomed. They can afford to throw away forces cause they have so many. And that is just the Kett. There are so many interesting possibilities set up in ME:A.

Know this: that the Khett are still more annoying than they are Ominous simply because in the previous trilogy you had the reapers to deal with. not saying that they are a peace of cake or easy. The Khett are a tough bunch of mfers however the case I see big things going for this plot and the fact that there's a benefactor hiding in the showdows of the Initiative makes this plot so much more interesting. people have to look past the features I've stated and look at the bigger picture. The Ryder's and the Initiative seem as though they have easier than our previous Mass effect squad mates but they are in for a hell of a fight. part 5 will definitely bring the noise, and the hurt. Mock my words. this is a good game, and will be a great trilogy.

When you gather all intell and do all side quests such as the ones for your companions and allies, extra small tasks don't really effect the ending but once you have done everything, Dunn will be saved by the Asari Pathfinder. Everyone lives in the end

Not really, Halo 4 dealt with the Forerunners and them punishing Humanity for the flood and not coming to their aide when asked. Andromeda is based off a terraforming network that can make worlds habitable for life and a alien race that wants to threaten to turn worlds to ash unless they submit to exaltation or assimilation they are more akin to the Borg than anything they just turn people into them thru genetics rather than the use of technology and nanites. My idea is instead of organics creating machines that surpass and destroy their creators what if its the remnant and the Jaardan are robotic and the Angara are their creations who created the scourge to break free from them nearly destroying themselves in the process but the knowledge was lost as a result to that they where created and rebelled against the Jaardan. But that is just me.

Not really.The issue is that they are like the borg. They are doing this because of an idealization of manifest destiny. These guy's are imperialist. The way of their thinking is like"Man we are so great. You know what....what if we make everyone in the galaxy just like us by force, then everyone will be great like us. What a great idea."

I agree that they are much like the Borg - moreso than the Collectors, even - however, on the surface: They are both largely mysterious, powerful aliens feared throughout the region for both their technology and military saavy. However, what is unusual about them, isn't that they are merely wiping out other races for some demented, genocidal purposes, but they are actually kidnapping live people and bringing them back to their base for some, horrific, nefarious purpose. What's more, the origin of some members of this villainous race are actually a forcibly reconstructed and physically altered version of a once proud, strong, independent race in the galaxy... quite literally turning one who you might have called an ally into one of your most deadly foes. Their motivations are obviously different, and as a race they are definitely more like the Borg, but until you make that discovery, they are quite similar to the Collectors.

If you save the Krogan Scouts and Heyjar becomes Pathfinder then you won't have to face any Behemoths in the final mission, which imo is the best choice because Heyjar > Raeka and Drack will like you a lot more

This game was very engrossing and enthralling. I don't understand why people hated it so much. The ME series was beautiful, haunting and DARK. This one was playful and enjoyable. It's the same debate that FFX and FFX2 had.

Eh, it was fine. The combat was great, but the story and characters were not. The Archon in particular was a weak-ass villain. It was an OK game, just not up to the standards of the series.

@@thejawgz6719 Fair points. The Archon wasn't Saren charisma wise and some sidequests felt tiring and not rewarding. The Ryder siblings didn't have the prestance nor the badassery John & Jane Shepard used to have. The crew was likeable but pretty serviceable overall. But I liked the positive spin it put on the series.

The main things that kept the game back was mass effect expectations as a first time game or first time play mass effect it's great. The second thing that hurt the game was massive dialogue bugs. Many players couldn't see the cut screens when they wanted to watch etc. I think it's good kind of a fallout paradox. Fan base likes decisions that affect the end game so too few for their tastes.

Other than a few different pieces of dialogue or a different character doing something the others would do IE Sloane v Reyes or your love interests. Bioware had their main team working on anthem and put their multiplayer team on to develop a supposed RPG which really just turned out to be an open world sci-fi third person shooter. I mean the combat was great but this didn't live up to the trilogy. A

There is an Spoiler in the Game. The Quarian Ark is in serious trouble. Rest of the Arks thought that she was destroyed, as she began her journey very late due to technical problems .

This is the best final mission in the ME series, so epic, can't wait for more content, there is still so much do be done, what happened to the other arks? what will the kett do now? Will thr Jardaan return? Bioware has made yet another fantastic game, undeserving of the hate they have gotten. I for one am looking forward to more games from them, Dragon Age next!

The most boring part of the me 2 final mission was biotic field (last cutscene was epic though), and the easiest bossfight ever, not that I struggled with this one, but I played on normal, gonna go for insanity playthrough for sure, like with the trilogy, damn I love mass effect!

just beat the game last night, fucking loved it. Though not as much as Mass effect 2 or 3 but more than 1. I don't get what everyone is bitching about. Half you guys haven't even played the dam game. grow up, if you want a perfect game for your expectations then make one yourself. I loved how they integrated the new story with the milky way events and so on. Interesting characters especially jaal. The story was lack luster in Mass effect one as well you all forget. Give this new series time to mature. There isn't a game out that the "youtube" or social media mob doesn't demonize anymore. Unless it's some off the wall weird shit like finally fantasy...

The only real difference is that you'll face more Behemoths is you choose to save the Salarian Pathfinder because the Behemoths are basically removed from the game if you save the scouts.

I have played the game a few times now and I think the quarian ark is not missing but captured and hidden by the kett because when playing the game you might come across the odd kett spaceship wreckage and it contains quarian tech. To be honest I think all arks were captured by the kett just they failed to get the Asari and salarian because they were already scheduled to arrive in andromeda same time as human ark so they knew the were missing. But because the others were not arriving for a while they were captured and they did not know.

Because: 1) Tempest is a corvette, not a frigate. It's smaller than both Normandies. 2) The Tempest's ODSY mass-core is bigger related to the ship's size than cores of both Normandies. 3) Because of above and cloaking system, it does not have room for weapons. 4) And most important - Tempest-class ships are civilian ships, they are not authorized to have any weapons! The whole Andromeda Inititative was a civilian project. However, if in the next game our little baby gets some Remnant beam guns (thank you, Peebee, for giving me Zap!), I'll be really happy.

The makers of the story for the Shepard's trilogy made the Reapers seems unbeatable...the speech...the sound...hell, what was sovereign speech again? The Archon was only a local leader of Kett in the Heleus, there's a greater Kett Empire outside of it. Also, the makers of the Scourge (which may somehow be connected to the condition of the Haestrom's sun, Dholen - test fire to see how well it works, accidentally scoring a hit, if the Scourge somehow got into the Milky Way (or was deployed from it) or something) may still be somewhere out there.

Bioware really failed us with this Mass Effect game. Then abandoned it months later and gave us all the finger to dedicate all their teams to the disaster that was Anthem. We paid $60 for a game that was dead and crossed off as a loss on EA’s board within a few months. Looking back on it.

Just did my own ending, which was more or less same, except my Dunn died and did not have Turian pathfinder, because that other guy decided to become drunk. I somehow was thinking there will be many different endings with different crew members dying like in ME2.

Well Marco Paluan... The Salarians have a hole Arc with there Species... About 10.000! But the Krogan are some a side species... They can reproduce in theory good enougth to survive BUT - Genophage...

89BlackGatomon a counterpoint to this is that this takes place after ME3 and most ME games when you don’t get a choice is that its the neutral ending, meaning the Genophage isn’t a problem anymore, this is shown more by talking with Drack and other Krogan about the Genophage
