If you did not secure Grunt's loyalty in ME2, he will die in ME3 if you choose to spare the rachni queen. If you abandon the queen, Grunt survives regardless of whether he's loyal to you or not.

What I've always thought was the weirdest thing about grunt is how surprisingly different he looks compared to other krogan like he's shorter and fatter (sure does feel like it) the dude doesn't look messed up like other krogan like clearer skin and doesn't have what looks like teeth on his lips (sure is what it looks like to me) and instead of the shell (or whatever that is) on all krogans heads it looks he's wearing a pile of rocks on his head and most importantly he has rock chin thats the next why does this exist product a rock chin to make it easier to headbutt people

@@natekatchuk3858 well here's the thing the krogan have looked consistently the same aside from color changes and there are countless krogan background characters and again have all looked relatively the same and they could be like any age also when grunt was being made he was technically a fully grown krogan

@@DeathDragon5000 In-world explanation: Any Krogan adult without a fully-fused skull plate wears a helmet to avoid looking like an adolescent. Like any other secondary sexual trait, some may have theirs fuse earlier in life while some might have it later. Lastly, Okeer was screwing around a lot in the Krogan genome, so Grunt's skull plate may be one of those "trial and error" choices going with a clone that is in an earlier stage of adulthood. These are just some fun ideas in my head, the art director from the game said Grunt was designed to look like a baby. Fresh skin, no scars, brand new armor.
